Ink rivers reversed course again, all flowing toward a single point near the far end of the field. “Damn it.” I crossed my arms over my chest, trying to hide the tremor in my hands. “You can’t just expect me to keep following you blindly. Someone broke into my room. Someone left me a note. And now men are talking about making me… disappear.” My voice cracked on the word. His head snapped toward me, his eyes blazing. “What note?” I faltered. He closed the space between us in a single stride, his hand gripping the wall beside me again. “What. Note.”

Elaina’s breath caught as he pulled out a thick, aged book bound in dark leather, its surface etched with faded symbols that seemed to shimmer faintly even in the low light. Her heart skipped. “No,” she breathed. “Yes,” Jone said, eyes twinkling. “I call it the dragon compendium. I think you music tunes you speak of is in it… the one you’ve been missing.” Elaina stared at it, stunned. “How… how do you have that?” The book looked exactly like the one they had left behind in the palace… only a little rough due to previous handling. She almost thought it was the same one but she remembered Drake had most warriors were given to book to study from.

A single drop of blood fell onto the compass. The needle jerked. It spun once, violently, then shifted again. The compass moved. It unbelievably moved.

The time when Creed had not opened the Chakra, this device had helped him a lot to judge his course of actions in critical situations. Phil still accepted his parent's gift and hugged them, tired from the party Phil excused himself and made his way to his room. Entering his room, Phil found it strange since his bedroom window was wide open, the wind blowing through the curtains, he walked and closed the window and saw a strange package on top of his bed. A rectangular package covered by brown paper and red twine holding it, Phil furrowed his brows and checked his room to see if something was stolen but saw that nothing was touched. Curious Phil opened the package and in it was an old book. The book was bound by leather and it has an image of a compass, a crescent moon covering one side, and a Greek ship at the bottom, on th
