Brooke watched as Donald scrambled to obey her order. Once Donald was gone, Brooke immediately rushed to the left corner of the room and quickly straightened her clothes. She was wearing a green shirt and black jeans with black stilettoes. She checked herself once in her mobile screen and was just about to pull open the door of her office when it was pushed in and she collided with none other than Nathan Bradford, the man Brooke had been lusting after. Seconds later, she found himself cradled in Bradford’s arms.

I rocked her a few more slow times until I emptied into her ass. I slapped her ass cheeks and then I pushed her off me. I couldn't stand her but she was good for what she was good for. Leaving her in the bed, moaning and crying I went to shower. I turned on the in shower TV and watched the news. There was a breaking report about US Army Veteran and billionaire tech mogul Reece Shields announcing his engagement to his long time girlfriend and mother of his child. My mouth dropped open as I saw her, holding her son with Reece holding one hand to her back and waving at the cameras with the other.

The person who had attacked Ashton a moment ago shifted back to his human form and shouted at Ashton. When Leonard saw who he was, he was not surprised. "You have gone against our values and attacked our alpha, the crime that you have committed requires you to face execution at the first light, right in front of the whole pack," Kevin shouted at the top of his lungs. Although he was talking, he seemed to be sending out signals. The wounds on Kelly had already healed and his subordinates had already brought him clothes. Ashton was still healing because his super healing abilities came from his wolf who was still under the effect of the wolfbane.

“You realize his daughter is only 8.” I look up confused for a second before it clicks and I chuckle, “it’s not like I’m really going to put her to work at the brothel. The threat worked and that’s all that matters.” Dom just laughs and shakes his head. “I..” he gets cut off by the arrival of the guard that went to check out what the commotion was all about.

Before I could reply, Griff’s office door slammed open and he stepped out with fire in his eyes and a paper clutched in his hand. “Everyone inside. Now.” The room filled fast. Boots thudded against the floor, leather creaked as cuts brushed together, and the air thickened with tension. I stood near the back as Griff spread the paper across the table. It was a photograph. Trigger, one of ours was face down in the dirt with a bullet to the head. My stomach knotted. Trigger had a wife and a baby. I’d seen him hold her once, smiling like the world wasn’t always cruel. Who would have done this to him?

Brooke felt that she had to find a way to smooth things over. Then, Jared, being the idiot that he was, not only missed the dig but jumped right into the trap. "See, Ms. Shaw? Ms. Cooper just said it herself. It's not a big deal." Brooke was decisive in business but genuinely gentle by nature. Now, however, she wanted to slap him silly.

“Captain. Rookie. Solid game last night Brooks. Keep that glove hand high today in review.” Merrick Donovan waved from the back. “Hydration packets on the table kid. You look a little pale.” Maren Emerson sat with her tablet. Hair back tight. “Shoulder still good Brooks? Any tightness after the shutout?” Elodie Langley hovered near the projector. Phone in hand. “Footage is ready. That last save is getting league highlights. Nice work.” I mumbled thanks and took a seat. Callan sat at the head of the table like always. Captain mode fully on. The lights dimmed and the film started rolling.
