The other five were getting back up. I thought we were successfully making it out of the chaos, until my brother let out a loud groan and landed face forward on the ground. “Viker!” I knelt beside him, observing the arrow that had just been sunk into his back. By the time I turned around, our attackers were fleeing. “Fight, Viker! I need you to fight!” I pleaded with him, trying everything I knew to heal him, but the arrow was poisoned. “Please, Viker! Fight!” Tears streamed down my cheeks as I watched my only brother die slowly in front of me.
