Hansen looked up at the high walled walls and thought that given the location of the "complex," as that man put it, in the middle of nowhere, it was more than such exaggerated protection, with armed men and all that. He did not think it possible that someone would want to risk getting lost or dying in that desert just to get to that place, unless it was by air, as they had done.
“Where are we?” Karen asked.
“In Texas, near the Mexican border,” Harvey replied. “This is the Chihuahuan Desert, the largest one in North America.”
