"Don't think too far if the answer was just on the question." I smiled, as I understood what he meant. After a few moments and eventually, the wait was over. The dawn was coming slowly towards us. It was time to kill the sun man. We went back towards the front of the door where the sun man and a woman was still inside. Cain was stretching and begin to knock on the green door. The sounds he made were normal, not feeling angry and not too low. The time came, there was someone opened the door. It was the sun man. At the same time, he said nothing, as he saw nothing. He was going to close the door when Cain pushed him back inside the room.

Cain released his shoulder. "That room she asked you to show her. Don't make her wait too long." Elias did not answer. His footsteps moved toward the medical bay. Slightly slower than when he had come. Cain stood in the corridor for a long time. Until the dawn light shifted from grey-white to pale gold. Then he pushed open her door. He walked in. He pulled the chair to the bedside. He sat down. He lifted her left hand from beside the pillow. He held it in his own palm.

What is he going to do to me? Minutes ticked by like hours. The clock on the wall was the only sound in the room. I paced the length of the living room, my feet soundless against the floor, as my heart raced rapidly. I pressed my palm against my stomach, trying to steady the trembling. Suddenly, the lock clicked. The sound was so soft I almost thought I’d imagined it, but then the door opened and Cross stepped inside. He closed it quietly behind him, not saying a word. He didn’t even look at the door... his eyes found me immediately, as if he’d known exactly where I’d be standing.

“Come in. Close the door behind you and wait on your knees by the entrance. - Aiden” Claire’s breath caught in her throat as she read the words, her heart pounding with excitement. With a trembling hand, she pushed the door open and stepped inside, the soft click of the latch echoing through the empty foyer. The room was bathed in a warm, inviting glow, the flickering light of candles casting dancing shadows on the walls.

He called out but was greeted with silence. He moved slowly and repeated again, nodding at the other officers until he got to the door. He wrapped his hand around the handle and yanked on it but the door seemed to be locked. He stepped back a few feet, turned around towards the officers and tilted his head towards the door. One of the officers immediately began to run towards the door with speed, and with one powerful swing of his leg, the door flew open. Cain immediately ran in, pointing his gun around and flashing the heavy beam of torchlight.

The light danced wildly on my face. Cain jumped back. All his pride was gone. Now there was only fear in his eyes. “This is my room,” I said. The fire danced in my own eyes. “My palace. And you, Cain, are just a rat running at the feet of a throne you will never own.” I pointed one finger at the door. “Get. Out.” Without a word, Cain ran. He fought with the door handle. He almost fell in his hurry. He slammed the door shut behind him.

Rowan I am not surprised that we arrived at a no sign hotel a few minutes later. Cain knocks four times on a metal knock door and the door immediately squeaks open. He turned around and grabbed my wrist again and pulled me inside with him. I try to control my hearing senses as I step into the red lighted lobby with so many closed doors. But it doesn’t filter the heavy sound of different voices and moans. The heavy sound of sensual cries, screams and love making.

Everyone said. “Good,” Haven said as she started to think of the easiest way to get out the doors. She went out of the doors, and two officers had to run ahead of her. She was calling out the directions as Mack pulled her hand back to him. He kept her next to him, knowing they had no real idea what they were walking out too. When she swiped the ID to open the last door with no alarms going off, she smiled at him. “Nice to know you made some friends here,” Mack said with a chuckle.

“I’m going to be gone for forty-five minutes. That’s enough time for…seriously, no?” I glanced at Kaden. He leaned back in his chair, staring at Cain with a blank expression. They seemed to be having a silent conversation with their eyes. “One hour?” Cain asked. Kaden remained silent. Cain threw his hands up in the air. “I give up. Neither of us should call me for the rest of the day. I’m heading out for a drink.” Cain slammed the door so hard that it rattled on its hinges. I frowned. “What the hell is up with…oh, fuck.”

I shrug a shoulder “Only one out of three people gets killed off today.” “Stop it. You guys are making me nervous now!” Cassain whines all the way to the ivy wall, where a small door is hidden away, and all the way through the dark tunnel, that leads us outside.
