Alexander Marcus had taken over the dining table, with a laptop open in front of him beside two phones, a notebook and several sheets of paper covered in names, numbers and locations. One screen displayed a map while the other displayed information Alexander had stopped pretending to understand a long time ago. Alexander remained near the window with his phone in his hand. The call rang then went to voicemail and he disconnected and shoved the phone into his pocket. Marcus typed another command into the laptop before grabbing one of the phones and dialing somebody.
