He’d been gone too long. Callie nibbled on her thumbnail as she waited by the elevator doors. She’d been sitting on the carpeted floor, with her legs crisscrossed in front of the elevator, since she hung up on Vin. He said he’d be home soon, but Callie couldn’t help the anxiety building inside her. He’d gone to Cullen Reich. She knew that meant revenge, that Vin would be her executioner. But hadn’t they both been through enough? All she wanted was for Vin to come home. She missed him, and with him by her side, she could try to forget the past few days.

“I’ll see you there, with Athena, right?” Just then, on cue, Athena’s voice cut through the moment. “Andy! We need to stay behind and run Act Two again. Miss Dickson changed her mind and said it needs to be perfect.” I didn’t move for a second. I just stood there, watching Callie. She gave a little wave, that same unreadable smile on her face. “Bye, Andy.” And with that, she turned around and walked off—her figure growing smaller with every step.

She left the house without being seen and then vanished at the train station; the only way that could have happened was if someone from the Villa had called her and told her that we would be waiting at the train station; maybe she made a stop before Toledo. I didn’t even think anymore; I stormed to the staff quarters, Alberto marching beside me.

“Don't you want me, too?” “Callie, you know that's not—” “Then fuck me.” She kept struggling with the zipper of her dress, tears streaming down her cheeks. It was quite easy to understand why she was in tears. She seemed heartbroken—but this….it wasn't going to— “I want you to touch me.” Callie’s soft voice sent a shudder down my spine. She's Jake's daughter. My best friend's daughter.

Leo sat at his study desk, a file in his hands. He sighed. No matter how many times he looked at the file he just couldn't understand it. Uncle Sanchez had sent him the results of their investigations on Cassandra Turner. And he just couldn't quite get it. There was lots of information about her and it was quite easy to get them which was understandable as she was the public figure for her company. Unlike him who used his connections to keep most of his information and his past in the dark as he didn't want to blow his cover.

Tyler asked joking around. “Not everyone who sees a shrink is crazy Ty,” I said and started to head inside the building. That’s when I heard her voice. Kennedy Jones the school’s most feared female. The perfect queen for a king. Head cheerleader, Straight A student, and very popular. Not to mention hot as hell. Also a total bitch and my girlfriend. She came running over to me and hugged me. “Morning babe,” I said to her, and then her group of minions came running up, and off she went.

"Did she offend you? And if she does why don't you call her and talk to her, and stop acting childish like your boyfriend" I cringed at the word 'boyfriend'. Anita eyes became red, I saw smoke coming out of her head. "How dare you Delvin! " "How dare you talk to me like that?" Anita said angrily. "What's going on here? Everyone turned and saw Lexy standing few meters away, hands in his pocket looking at us. "Anita bullied Rita", I walked towards him. "Who asked you?" He replied looking at me from head to toe turning away. I step backward in shame.

Just then we heard a sonorous feminine voice from behind us, yelling, "Hey! " We all paused and turned back to see a gorgeous damsel. It was Salene. She had her little bunny bag stacked at her back and walked hastily making her flamboyant cream hair dangle in the air. "Hey! " she yelled again as she walked up to us while we waited speechlessly. I stuttered. "H–hey. " Though I wasn't expecting her to smile weirdly, holding my hands as we walk down the streets in utter stupidity but she still murdered my expectations. With a quite serious face, she stared straight into my eyes.
