Calvin Evans Lessons In Chemistry Novels & Stories

Jarren’s POV I sat in Chemistry, only half paying attention. I didn’t want to be back at school. I was just ready for it to end already. I looked over at Jillie, and she was texting. “Jilliannah, the answer?” Ms. Hollins asked. Jillie’s head snapped up from her phone. “Um…” *Molecular formula* I pushed into her thoughts. “Molecular formula,” she answered. “That’s correct.” Ms. Hollins stated before getting back to her lecture.

I went from eight years old to an adult in the blink of an eye. These thoughts were floating through my head when the teacher entered, introducing himself as Mr. Evans. He was a fairly young, tall and muscular black man. He was handsome with a super deep voice that held a fierce kindness to it. His head was shaved bald but he had grown a well-trimmed mustache and goatee. He walked in wearing a black relaxed fit t-shirt with a pair of black gym shorts with a whistle hanging around his neck.

“I’m so proud of you, Soph.” “Thanks, Jen,” I replied, grinning widely at her. “Did you see Ian?” She asked and I shook my head slowly. “He wasn’t there,” I answered. “How’s the biology prep going?” Jenny rolled her eyes dramatically. “Ugh, don’t get me started. Dr. Evans was his usual eccentric self in the review session yesterday. He spent half the time talking about his pet frogs instead of the Krebs cycle. But I think I’m getting there.”

DAMIEN Honestly, I'm completely shocked. You mean this sis a teacher in our school, this little girl? It was really hard to believe till she started teaching. My mind was on her body, the way she speak, the way she moves. Her body language was seriously turning me on and I can't help it. "Mr Costa?" I look up at her, she was giving me a questioning look which was making me more frustrated. "I said, explain the concept of Le Chatelier's principle and how it can be applied to predict the shift in equilibrium when temperature is increased in a reversible chemical reaction involving the absorption of heat, providing a specific equation as an example." she asked. Is that suppose to be a question.

My mind keeps spiraling in thoughts of what could have happened, what might happen and why it happened but I can't come to any better conclusion to my questions. We entered the class, sat at our usual spot, we talked for a while before Mr Addison entered the class. “Good morning delinquent.” He said, always making the most out of everything. “Today, we’re diving into a very interesting and important topic in chemistry. Acids, Bases, and Salts. By the end of this lesson, you’ll not only know what they are but also how they behave, how they react, and where you can find them in real life.”

Chapter 5 Hold, Please We followed the plan, and the rest of the weekend flew by in a blur of coffee and sticky notes. I finished the Chem 101 midterm, finally, and then moved on to intro genetics—which wasn’t as difficult, ironically, because I could write it with a little faith in my students’ ability to read.

For some reason, he felt a little disappointed. A look of disappointment briefly appeared in his eyes as he looked down, but it was gone before anyone noticed. The first lesson was chemistry. The chemistry teacher was a middle-aged Mediterranean man who seemed popular among the students because he gave clear and detailed explanations despite being long-winded. Even so, Lynette and Leon weren't planning on paying attention. After school, the two of them walked along the road in school. There were tall trees on both sides of the road that blocked the scorching sun.

I murmured, staring down at my calculus worksheet. "You don't have to thank me for respecting you, Tamine," Evans said, his voice a low, steady anchor in the chaotic cafeteria. He reached into his backpack and pulled out a battered paperback copy of The Great Gatsby. "Now, are you going to help me understand chapter seven, or are we going to sit here and glare at differential equations all period?" A genuine, relieved smile finally broke across my face. "Page 154, Thorpe. And if you make one more joke about the valley of ashes, I'm charging you double for this session."

"Speaking of the serum, Gavin managed to study the contents of the serum after observing the body condition of the monster that our side defeated. Just a moment, let me show you." Stephen took his tablet, then handed it back to Karl. There was a huge list of chemical substances listed on the list in rapid motion, and remembering that chemistry was one of the subjects she hated most when she was in school gave her a valid reason to say confidently that she simply did not know all the names of the compounds on the list.

I shouldn’t have opened the door for him! She bit her lip, fists clenched. “That money…” But she stopped herself. Why should she reopen her wounds just to let him mock her again? “Whatever you say.” Calvin narrowed his eyes, annoyed by her dismissive attitude. It wasn’t that he wasn’t willing to listen to explanations—he just hated the way she shut down so easily. The water in the pot began to gurgle and boil. Calvin lifted the lid, letting out a cloud of hot steam. He instinctively leaned back to avoid getting burned, his movements smooth and practiced.
