~Trixie’s Point of View~ I awoke with my whole body nearly thrown off the seat, and I lurched forward. The bus was stopped at a large gate with a sign overhead that simply read “Camp New Moon.” The camp was founded by the first Drexel to hold the throne and each Queen has made it her life’s work to ensure all shifter pups have an equal and fair start in life. They need to know survival skills and how to be upstanding members of society. Or something like that.

The child mumbles, obviously terrified. Almost instantly I can feel the pull, the gentle coaxing from the child's eyes, trying to force me to tell the truth. She's trying to compel me. Compulsion is a gift in which only vampires have the power to do. Half-bloods are understandably very powerful as they carry the gifts of two supernatural beings, making them hunted and in danger for most of their lives. This poor little girl has obviously been taken from her parents and forced to do horrible things. I make a silent vow that I will try my best to take her with me if I get out of here.

The guards who had rushed in froze where they stood. Confused by their reactions, I looked down at myself. Blood was dripping from my wrist where his nails had scratched through my skin. I stumbled, Jason dragging me back, but not before I saw the look in Dimitri’s eyes. Fury. Fear. And something else—something I couldn’t name, but felt deep in my chest. This wasn’t just survival. Moon looked all around the room and sighed before going to the last be-d in the room,,she dropped her bag and faced Jupiter *Don’t ask that question,,don’t ask* Serpentina said in her head but Moon shut her up “Are you a witch?” Moon asked and Jupiter faced her with a dangerous glare “What thefu-ck are you talking about?” She asked “I just want to know,,I was told you’re a witch,,,,,,” “Who the h*ll said that about me!” Jupiter half yelled and Moon moved back “I’m sorry,,I didn’t mean to upset you. He twitched his thick brows. “If you dare report me, I'll kill you.” “Those who kill never threaten.” He said, calm and composed. As silence thickened between us, my hands started shaking. It was almost as if the dagger would slip from my grip. “Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you or report you.” “Why?” My lips swallowed a gulp. “I am Julius Campbell.” He came from the shadow into the light of the moon. The name startled me. He was the Gamma of the NightShade pack, Alpha king’s closet. Someone of his status would never help a prisoner until he had an interest.

“Were going to be even more popular now. Just think all the guys on campus will be lining outside to get a glimpse of our fair maidens.” Neither girl could resist laughing its quite possibly the truth or her scary nature would be the reason that the guys all looked away. Jupiter had no need to warn the guys away from them. They had each other. That was enough. Apollo ruffled their hair to gather their attention. Cynthia knew he was being antagonistic towards them. Her arms were folded across her chest. “Little cousins shouldn’t we go inside lest you want those future admirers to steal you away and cause an upset with our liege Jupiter.”

“What are The Halves?” Her mouth opened, then closed. She glanced around to make sure no one was listening, then leaned in, her braid brushing my cheek. “It’s an elitist club. Only half-bloods or born-from-magic students can join. Half-lycan, hybrids, half-fae, half-vampire, half-dragon. Even witches born of magical conception but not full blood. They call themselves a club, but people disappear after joining. They say it’s just for rituals, parties, elite privileges…but my sister told me stories.”
