She spots me, raises an eyebrow. “You look like hell.” “Thanks.” She pours herself coffee. Leans against the counter. “Double?” “Triple.” “Jesus, Cass.” Two more nurses come in behind her. Shauna and Beth. They head straight for the coffee pot, already mid-conversation. “I’m just saying,” Shauna’s shaking her head, stirring sugar into her cup. “No one’s going to last. Did you hear what happened to the last one?”

The guards who had rushed in froze where they stood. Confused by their reactions, I looked down at myself. Blood was dripping from my wrist where his nails had scratched through my skin. But it wasn’t the blood that stunned everyone into silence. It was the color as it was Purple. My heart stopped because it was a crime. An abomination. The worst halfblood to be. A trait known only to belong to the Igutus — the halfborns born of lycan and werewolf blood. The cursed hybrids of the Ashborn pack. The very species Tovar had just condemned moments ago.

A crystal goblet is placed on the table. "We shall now join the two families by joining their blood." Elder Jasper Stark said. Then he pulled out a knife and took Nathan hand he cut it. Nathan let his blood flow into the goblet. Cassie lift her hand to the Elder. He cuts her hand and she let's her blood flow into the goblet with Nathan's. Nathan takes and licks Cassie's had and seals the cut then seals his own. Elder Jasper Stark mixes the blood together then passes it first to Cassie who takes a small drink then Nathan takes a small drink and passes it back to the Elder.

Max's POV Goddess, I love camp. This year should be even better than previous years, mostly because Christine and Bianca aren’t here to stir the pot, and Ralph and Noah are finally stepping into their roles. The guys have transitioned into their new positions seamlessly, thanks to the Blood Moon training team. Gamma Austin and Delta Greg have been working with them instead of George and Eli—no one thought they’d be keen on training their daughters’ replacements. Ralph and Noah are psyched to be here for their first camp. I just hope they don’t embarrass us. I’m pretty sure they won’t.

The donated blood bags are done during a Blood donation event, and three quarters of the blood bags go to the nearby hospital, and they only take a quarter of the donated blood, because that's all their fridges will hold. Which is why they hold the event 2 times a year.
