Silent Howls

Silent Howls

“She can’t shift into her wolf. Her body can’t endure it… She was never supposed to…” I barely heard Damon stumbling behind me as I went out briskly, noticing a cluster of people in the clearing. My stomach dropped, and I reached there in no time, shoving bodies aside until the crowd broke open around me. However, the sight before me struck me with lightning in clear daylight. Carla and Stacy were bent over a pit of red-hot coals, their faces streaked with tears. They were scraping aside the burning embers with long sticks, digging something out. No!

Survival In The Parallel World

Survival In The Parallel World

Then, I run for cover behind a tree. After half a minute nothing happens, so I get out of my cover to use my observation skill. Unfortunately it doesn't work on the campfire directly, intense brightness prevents me from looking at it directly for long enough for my skill to activate. I slowly approach the fire and hear a crackling sound. It seems to be reacting to the stone! Sound starts to get louder and turns into a roar as the flames rise to a massive height. Heat becomes unbearable and the branches of the campfire crackle loudly, from time to time sparks go everywhere.

Woke Up When The World Ends

Woke Up When The World Ends

“ I asked knowing that they would agree but it ended up with them being silent. 'Soup? But what ingredients can he get other than the flesh of those weird fishes? Is he going to make a soup out of those?' 'I would rather starve than eat that gross thing' It seems like they have no appetite. But still, maybe it wouldn't be bad to prepare more. After all, I can finish the leftovers by myself. Opening my storage bag, I was so happy that I somehow managed to get a portable cooking stove. The one that uses butane. I just minded my own business but as soon as I fixed everything, I was missing with one thing. ”Migo“ I called his name but he didn't hear it. ”Migo I need some fire“ Holding his hand

Protected by the Moon Goddess

Protected by the Moon Goddess

My mind is focused on one thing, and one thing only. The omega. Orch. I have to survive this. I have to make her safe. ** TRUCK After the fire settles down to a nice bed of glowing embers lined with white ash, I place the freshly caught fish directly on the embers to cook. There's a hiss and a vortex of orange sparks rises toward the stars. I sit on the riverbed and listen to the creek flowing at night, clear and cold. Even with the wall of dark trees on one side, this campground is relatively exposed, but I don't care.

The Lycans' Luna: Dyrad of the Elden Wood

The Lycans' Luna: Dyrad of the Elden Wood

She is too weak. I looked at Luca who seemed quite far away, but I could still see him skinning the meat from the wild animal he hunted earlier. I quickly turned back towards the campfire that Adam was preparing. "Is your way of starting a fire the same as ours at Valeria?" I heard Adam mumble. I saw him using wood which was rubbed tightly between two black stones. Soon sparks could be seen and he placed dry leaves on top of the wood and it burning slowly. I smiled, “Are you guys really that old-fashioned?” I giggled.

Chapter One starts with one giant, somewhat incoherent, run-on sentence. That tells you everything you need to know about the rest of the book. Maybe I'll come back and try to read it again if it gets some series editing, but it would be crazy to pay money for this.

I read this book before, or at least most of it. I know I read it before probably a year ago. but I was not able to complete it then, so now I'm finally getting to finish it! this book has quite a few different scenarios that happen to them. A lot of off the wall crazy stuff!

The Lycan King’s Rogue Queen

The Lycan King’s Rogue Queen

Stop whining. I jabbed a finger at a tree. “Shut up, imaginary Kael. Nobody asked you.” The tree did not apologize. --- Night fell, dragging cold with it. I built a tiny fire, just enough to not freeze, and sat glaring at it like it owed me rent. “This is fun,” I muttered. “Dinner: one sad hunk of bread, one piece of cheese that smells like it lost a bet. Conversation partner: fire. Entertainment: imagining new ways Kael could die tragically in a soup-related accident.”

The Little king

- I told you, he's a nerd. And everyone laughs again. - How can we make a fire? - Kevin asks. Another warrior approaches with a smile, saying: - I'm not a nerd like my friend here - he says and takes a smack on the back of the head, making the others laugh. - Like I was saying, before being so rudely interrupted, I'm not a…. cultured guy like my friend here, but my father taught me to survive in human form in the forest, taking nothing with me. I am capable of making fire. I just need some dry twigs.

The Billionaire’s Blood Proxy

The Billionaire’s Blood Proxy

In this new world, some miracles were better left unanalyzed. "We got it all, Alex," Jax said, his voice softening. "The primary, the perimeter, the seed-stock. We actually have a harvest." Three days later, after the storm had passed and the basin had settled back into its quiet, alkaline peace, the first fire was lit in the communal kitchen. It wasn't a high-tech heating element; it was a simple stone oven built from the ruins of a pre-Reset warehouse. The entire camp gathered in silence. Alexander watched as the camp’s baker a woman who had spent twenty years maintaining the liquid-nutrient vats in the slums, pulled the first loaf of bread from the oven.

Seven Dark Husbands at the Beast God’s Command

Seven Dark Husbands at the Beast God’s Command

Clar nearly laughed out loud in relief, her hands trembling as she fed the flame with small twigs, allowing it to grow. The fire flickered, casting a warm glow that illuminated her cave. It was more than just a source of warmth—it was a victory. Clar hadn’t just survived this world—she was learning to shape it, bending it to her will. This flame, this small spark of fire, was her turning point. It marked the line between her and the original Clar. The one who had failed. The one who had given in to chaos. With the fire finally roaring, Clar cut the meat into chunks, skewered them on thin branches, and held them over the flames. The sizzling sound filled the cave, and the rich aroma of roasti
