Emily supplied, handing Cassandra a key on a Sunset Palace logo keyholder. "Thank you," Cassandra replied, entering the room. Like the rest of the hotel, it was exquisite. The same high ceilings, a thick fluffy carpet on the floor, and a gold chandelier over a queen size bed. The room was tastefully decorated with furniture that screamed expensive, but Cassandra only had eyes for the bed. She would take a quick shower in the adjoining bathroom and crawl between the inviting silk sheets. "Do you mind if I ask you something," Emily said, fidgeting in place, a nervous look on her face.

Meanwhile, Cassia looked at her spacious room with a happy and passionate face. Cassia quickly explored her room. The room was multi-layered. In the deepest area, she found a bedroom with a futon bed on the floor. There was a paper lamp with a fire burning in it, illuminating the room. Cassia found a cupboard that holds extra blankets and a change of clothes for her. The clothes were neatly folded, clean, and fragrant. When Cassia felt the clothes, the surface of the cloth was so smooth because it was made of silk.

He knew that Lily was scared, so he said: “I teased you before. We werewolves only transform on full moon nights, on other days just like you - humans. We just move a little faster.” Lily's face was full of suspicion: “Really?” “Of course.” “Okay, so I’m in.” Here everyone was walking, no vehicles, no means other than walking. The wife would be gone shopping for an hour or two then would come back with supper for us. I had this pillow that I liked sleeping on the floor with because it fit under my neck just right. Flopping down on the bed, I’d ordered an Alaskan King, the largest bed possible. A whole 108” by 108” of memory foam that boasted the best cooling air flow to cool even the hottest werewolf down. Or so the representative I spoke to advised. It was nice, softer than anything I’d slept on in my entire life. Luxurious couldn’t even begin to describe how I felt in this room. It was like a dream. A dream that if I woke up from, I’m not sure I could take the pain of it all.

"Shall we?" She took it and let him lead her up to the castle. It wasn't just a castle fa?ade, but a real castle. In the foyer, a huge crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, taking center stage, adorned in icicle crystal shards. A huge Christmas tree stood at the far end of the great room with presents under it. "Wow," Caden exclaimed, taking in the ambiance. A couple with a child placed a box adorned with colorful wrapping paper and a red bow with ribbons under the tree. "What are they doing?"

I can hear the waves crash in the distance and the chatter of some of the tourists who are still milling about by this time. I swing my legs off the couch and stand. “Fine.” He looks over at me, one brow raised. “Fine?” “I’ll sleep on the bed.” He blinks, surprised. “But we’re building a pillow wall. And nothing gets past it.” “Understood,” he says dryly. We spend the next few minutes grabbing all the pillows in the room and arranging them down the middle of the bed like we're building a fortress for protection. I crawl under the sheets on one side, and he gets in on the other.

Every movement sent a ripple of comfort through her muscles, easing tensions she hadn’t even realized she carried. This bed alone could convert a person to luxury. Chelle leaned back against the mountain of pillows—memory foam, she realized, the expensive kind that adapted to her shape instead of fighting it. Her old mattress at the apartment sagged in the middle and squeaked a bit whenever she turned. This one didn’t make a sound, as if even noise had been priced out of existence here.

Eliza returns with a pile of sheets and pillowcases, and she and Ash quickly get to work, stripping the bed and remaking it. The sheets had been dark-grey with a white geometric design on them. Rather masculine in a way, but it suited her aesthetic. The new ones are a dark orange red, almost rust-coloured. But the duvet cover is fuzzy, like a fleece, but with squares shaved into it at regular intervals. The sheets matched the colour, but the pillowcases were all like the duvet.
