Book two of the ' Second Chance Séries ' ** Chapter one ; I got my Revenge In the basement laid a young woman in her late thirties, barely unconscious, on a filthy mattress. She had a jagged scar running from her left eyelid to the right side of her face. Her nose was bleeding profusely, and her face was pale. One could hardly hear the words leaving her mouth as multiple men assaulted her. It happened every day for ten years. That was how long she had been stuck, maybe. It was karma paying her for her deeds.

After a few minutes I drifted off. I woke up and when I checked the time it was 2am, I saw that Chance was no longer in bed I wonder where he went, I was craving some ice cream so I went to the kitchen but on my way there I saw lights on in the study. I went in and saw Chance on his desk with bottles of whiskey in his hand some were empty and others were half full. When I got closer he had a picture of Emma in his hand. 'I failed her.' he says out of nowhere then proceeded to take a huge sip.

I left the place that had caused me so much pain and found the happiness that truly belonged to me—Leo, who brought light and hope back into my life. That chapter of my life made me grow and taught me what true love really was. Finally, I realized that everything that happened to me before was nothing more than just a distant past.

I asked as I started touching everything, searching the cupboards, the fridges and least of all the drawers. Too my amazement the draws were filled of snacks and I was shocked to see that. "You brought my design to life," I said as I stared at my siblings who just smirked "It's just a draw with snacks inside," Sebastian mocked like it was hard, "I built the draw," I stated as he shrugged his shoulders as I stared eating the first line of snacks before I moved back to the sofa that was next too me. The case swung slightly ajar. Kael looked at the clasp on the floor. Then, at the open case, he saw a book. He picked up the book titled The Luck Bearers Vol. III, carefully opened it to the first page, and read the first line. The Luck Bearers are not mages. They are not warriors. They are not chosen by gods or blessed by divine hands. They are anomalies. Errors in the system.
