Chasing Slow Book Novels & Stories

I cannot keep the fight against the thoughts that are running through my mind, which is flooding my senses. I stare into her deep brown eyes and watch as she melts like jelly in my hand. I smile at her before I gently lean in. The sound of her heart is beating so loud that I can barely concentrate on anything else. I feel like I am going to explode. I slowly start moving my lips, breath by breath closer to hers. The moment they touch, the world vanishes. Her lips are softer than I can remember. My lips are firm against hers, but the kiss remains soft, gentle, and slow. I hold it for a few seconds before our lips begin to move in perfect sync.

I mumbled out of surprise as I confirmed myself that he is indeed the owner of that laugh that I heard that day. I went in annoyance but then I was surprised when there were weird noises I heard. He's going out of my side and he started to run away. Why is he even running? I am not sure about that but then without even thinking I stood up immediately and ran after him. Why am I even running? I didn't let all the sides I tried to Chase him but then to my surprise there was a weird drop that is hidden in this part that I step on. "A… shit"

~KAELRIC~ The forest had always answered to me. Tonight, it resisted. The wind should have bent toward my command. The shadows should have shifted in reverence. Even the earth beneath my boots should have recognized its future Alpha. Instead, every step felt heavier than the last. We hadn’t even crossed the eastern ridge yet. “You’re slowing down.” Chase’s voice was calm, observant — too observant. I didn’t look at him. “I’m pacing myself.” A lie.

Chapter 7 Xavier. She is a fire. Burning me down to ashes and how I wanted to be burnt down. She is a light in my dark soul. Looking at her made me realize why men kidnap their women to keep them close forever. I don't want her to go. Not even for a minute and if i could i would have asked her to move in with me, but i know its too fast.

Alejandro was barking inside of me but I was too shy to say such. She made her way forward and I stopped for a moment, my heart racing as it felt like she was slowly slipping out of my life. I began to panic, I didn’t want that, I wanted her to stay and with swift steps, I caught up with her and much to my shock and her amazement , I sneaked my hands up her neck. Pulling her into my burning body and she gasped, shock rippling through her but she stayed still, she didn’t protest, tell me to stop or try to leave.

You can return anything to any of the other libraries. Once Sally was outside, she opened the book. Flashes of images starting running through her mind like a video on fast forward. Only these were images of the scrolls and certain symbols stood out to her. She was vaguely aware of her team trying to reach her, but it was like the book stole their speed. They were moving slower than in slow motion. The book was giving her the answers she needed and when it was done, she fell to the pavement and started to scream. Her head was pounding worse than a migraine.

Lyra’s Pov “Chase, you’re not going fast enough!” I snapped, gripping the dashboard as we sped down the bumpy road. He growled under his breath, hus hands tightly gripping the steering wheel. “I’m going as fast as I can, Lyra! What the fuck do you want me to do? Over speed, lose control, and kill us both?” I looked away, chewing on my bottom lip. “I’m sorry. I just—God, I’m scared of what the outcome may be, what if we lose the book and that fire is the cottage itself. I’m freaking out.”

Maybe, just maybe, her destiny was only beginning. Outside, unseen and silent, shadows moved in the distance. Eyes glimmered, scanning the horizon.
