I was not in a mood to hear his speech. I ran without stopping until I reached the human's town. I borrowed a car in a rental I crossed because I can feel her scent was far enough to make my feet hurt. If I were still in human form, walking that far will kill my legs, and looks like I can't shift into my wolf if I had to walk in the human area. I drove for 20 minutes and it was already quite far from the city. I saw a beach at the end of the road I took. At least it's free land, so no other packs can hurt her.

The ruffles stop, and we continue on our journey. "Chick, chick, chick," a strange chicken jumps out of the bush, aiming towards us and running with full force. This is no ordinary chicken my brain informs. "Runnnnn!" I scream as we both take to our heels. Looking back amidst the race, I discover the chicken is running after us full on speed as if we had taken something that belongs to it. The more we run, the more it chases relentlessly.

I sigh, wondering if everyone will be this excitable whenever I want to make an announcement. “Settle down everyone!” Grace orders, her smile set into a playful smirk. She is clearly enjoying herself. As the crowd quiets again, I thank her before turning back to face the crowd. “I want to apologize for my behaviour earlier today but I also want to assure you all that killing my father was the right thing to do. As such I want to announce that the Run which is to happen in six months will be canceled.” I begin to explain, seeing confusion and shock amongst the crowd.

Jim wasn’t the most religious person, but he knew that whatever was chasing him wasn’t natural, and under those circumstances you needed something pretty big like God on your side. Jim set off at a jog, panting hard and trying to ignore the cramp in his leg and the stitch in his side. A third underground tormentor had joined the other two. He could feel it switch from one side of the path to the other, occasionally rumbling up behind him with menace.

Charles hit him because of her. The whole event replayed in her head like a slow motion movie. Charles had come in. She had stepped back, thinking Kyle was aware of his friend’s presence, only for the animal to punch him. Charles punched him twice. It was only on the second punch that people had sprung to action. She was still stunned. Even as she sat in hospital with him, watching the doctor check Kyle’s eyes.

I've done it a hundred times, in a hundred different places, and I've never once had to think about it this hard before. Running would save him. It would save me. I threw all my weight against him, breaking free just enough to scream at the top of my lungs, hoping that someone, anyone, would hear. I stumbled backward, running in the same direction, to save my boy, my mind clinging to one thought— that I had to keep him safe at any cost. The darkness pressed in as I ran, my lungs burning and my legs aching, but I refused to stop. Evan’s footsteps thundered behind me, relentless, but I didn’t look back. I knew I had to keep going, to keep running, for James.

Most commonly, having to resort to shifting once a month during a planned excursion out of the city. I informed him, letting him know that Raine, my wolf, was mostly the reason for the delay. "I understand, bunny. Be safe." My father replies to the mindlink before I walk across the path to the nearby forest. I quickly undressed, placing my clothes on a nearby stump before transforming into my blonde wolf.

While the living room was filled with gaming stations and videogames. When they first arrived, Rune had already changed into her human form and was wearing one of my shirts. She was malnourished and thin. I didn’t know how long they had been wandering around to have been suffering this much. It was what the bond of a pack did; it held you together and without it you would fall apart.
