After I sent that message, everyone in the group chat erupted. It didn't take long for the messages to come flooding in. "What?" "That twist is brutal!" "Dude, why does that sound kind of familiar?" "Wait. Why does this sound like what that woman was talking about a few days ago?" A faint smile graced my lips as I added, "She and her 'true love' are still stupid enough to think the kids are theirs." That line set the group off completely.

I spent hours in my apartment thinking of what I could have done wrong to end up here but I don’t think there’s an answer. So I picked up my jumbled brain and began to focus on my emails. I open my nightstand to find my laptop and decide to distract myself with an other chatroom. I’ve used this chatroom to try and socialize with other people my age. It helps that it’s a chatroom for intelligent kids to pick each other’s brains and it’s mostly anonymous. Especially since socializing is not my strong suit.

"Anonymous Chat. It's been pretty popular lately." I turned my attention back to my laptop. "Sounds like a waste of time." "It's actually fun." Gavin laughed. "It randomly matches you with complete strangers. You can talk about anything without knowing each other's identities." I snorted. "Childish." "Your life's way too serious." Gavin stood and slipped his phone into his pocket. "There's nothing wrong with talking to strangers every now and then. My chat partner's already talking about giving me her real I*******m. Pretty impressive, huh? I've got a blind date with her tonight."

I thought they would no longer come to my stream, but they still visit me and give me virtual gifts. While I was in the midst of streaming, someone suddenly joined under the username "Denver." I don't know if it's his real name or what because it's my first time seeing him. He interacted with me in the chat box and complimented my voice. It made me flattered. Anyway, it's a normal feeling when someone admires you or appreciates something in you, right?

Curious, I picked it up, my heart skipping a beat as I read the sender’s name. WhiteRabbit01: “Hey, Alpha. Long time no chat.”

I said it quickly. "I'll pack it up! Wait for me in front of the house!" After saying that, Kenan hung up the phone. I glanced at the clock written on the top-right corner of my phone screen. It's almost midnight now. Even so, I complied and waited for Kenan in the living room. I lay down on the couch and open some chat that goes into my cell phone. Well, I don't have many friends; I just exchange messages with Kenan and Steve, but suddenly my chat room is full of unknown numbers. Some of their chats contain random photos, which are annoying, and some others just give out spam.
