76 T H E A “You’ve been looking sad the entire time since we got here.” I pulled my head up to hear Sebastian’s voice. He smiles calmly but I wasn’t in the mood to join the others. We’re all here now and everybody seems to be merry. “It’s Christmas.” He says as he sits next to me. I half-smiled. “And everyone’s downstairs. Why you’re here alone in the library?” he asks. “it’s warmer here. And… I wanted to see how many books they have.” I reasoned.

3rd January, 1999(morning) The Warehouse Lana Its a never ending circle. A repeated sequence I experience everyday, locked up in this room with little or no contact. A hollow feeling in my heart whenever I think about my family, the grief I feel whenever I remember those who died in that bloody Christmas party.

she threw a warm smile over her shoulder, directed at Elliot. I moved back a little, walking slowly next to Elliot, “Is she talking about Chaos?” I whispered. “Mhmm,” he responded with a light nod. My mind was swirling with questions. How did she know with a single glance at Elliot? Xantha’s main castle was stunning. The exterior was a deep, almost black-blue stone with creeping vines covering a large portion of the walls. Crystal clear blue waters surround the base of the castle, flowing into nearby canals that traveled away from the castle. The guards posted on each side of the door bowed as we walked across the bridge before opening the large double doors.

He looks sleepy too because he’s barely keeping his eyes open and not nodding off on the spot, but all that could be a ruse. His voice sounds aware and conscious, enough for me to be on my guard and assume he is. My mind is a mess right now. “Please get the wolf out of my library! She’s making the place smelly!” Offense surges through me heavy and hot but before I can do anything about it. I hear a loud crack. The castle librarian hits the floor with a heavy thud and my blood runs cold when I see Lyros approach the door, his eyes gleaming,

* None felt like potential allies. The library was a vast, echoing chamber, smelling of dust, parchment, and beeswax. Tall windows offered grey light, illuminating towering shelves crammed with leather-bound tomes. A massive oak table dominated the center. An elderly man with a wispy white beard and spectacles perched on his nose looked up from a ledger, surprise registering on his face. “Lady Vivian?” He stood, offering a respectful, if slightly bewildered, bow. Master Fenwick, the castle librarian, according to her borrowed memories. A man who valued his books far more than courtly intrigue. “An unexpected… pleasure. How may I assist you?”

The doors swing open behind us, and Roxy appears in the archway, her eyes brimming with joy. “You have to see the library,” she says, beaming. “It has three levels filled with thousands of books, and there’s a spiral staircase in the middle with sliding ladders on every floor.” Roxy steps into my arms without hesitation. I wrap her up, holding her close as she talks, her excitement bubbling over. “And there’s a balcony off the west wing with an old brass telescope mounted to the rail. You can see clear to the tree line. The castle, Leo, is like something out of a dream. Everyone’s so kind, and the kitchen staff baked cookies just for me.”

3, 2, 1… HAPPY NEW YEAR! The cheers were deafening as everybody in that party began to dance the night away as they welcomed the start of a more hopeful and prosperous year for their pack. Cara Apparently, the castle had no proper cell signal. Brienne had informed me that the country had a large invisible dome around it that prevented interference from the outside world. The dome also messed with most satellite signals. Hence, I had no way what-so-ever of communicating with my father. My separation from the outside world left me wandering around. Again and again, I found myself at the castle's humongous library. I entered through the only door and walked past the front desk. Contrary to the common stereotype, the librarian was not an elderly, four-eyed, gray-haired woman. In the woman's place sat a tall, lean man with black rimmed spectacles.

Since there was really no reason for me to stay in the hospital wing at this point, the three of us decided to move to the library immediately. The library is a 50 foot by 50 foot room, in the southwestern courner of the castle. You can enter the library from all four floors of the castle, it is a four floor library. The first floor is mostly for the children, there are bean bag chairs, and a daily storytime, all the text books the older kids need for school, the packs history books are all here, where the kids can use them for school. Plus the storybooks and fairytales. It looks like most libraries, the walls are lined with shelves, and there are rows of shelves around the room, high window

The phosphorescent paints continue to illuminate the hall, casting an ethereal glow as the group makes their way towards the carriage needed to traverse the expansive castle grounds. Arriving at the building adjacent to the castle, Tritan meticulously studies the inscriptions on its weathered exterior. Despite missing symbols due to erosion, he pieces together the merscript, and with a widening of his eyes, signs to the group, "It's a library." The realization of the library's size dawns upon him, further fueling their excitement and curiosity.
