I turned quickly and my eyes widened slightly at the unfamiliar presence that entered. Beside him stood Alpha Zarkus, his face expressionless, his eyes fixed coldly on me. But my focus turned to the strange man at his side. He wore a long, black hooded cloak, and in his hand was a wooden staff topped with a round, black crystal. His presence exuded ominously. “Angelicca,” Alpha Zarkus spoke. “I know that even if I banish you, you’ll find a way to return... to take back my sons. So I’ve prepared this, to make sure that never happens. This is my final punishment for you.”

Angel’s POV Back when Angel used to come here—years ago—with Federico and Bianca, his childhood friends, they’d once snuck behind the counter. Drunk and laughing. And they had found it. A slim metal door that led to the alley. Half opened. They had been young and stupid back then. And now, he needed that escape route. He pushed the bar’s door open. Glancing back at the door, I felt the urge to back away, but I stayed back. Gulping hard, I reached for the book; it almost dropped off my hand due to its heaviness. I sat on one of the chairs and opened it. The first page had me reeling in shock. It was a history book of the generations that existed centuries before. From the first page, I was glued to the introduction of all the varying beings and their respective strengths. My eyes rounded like saucers when I saw the page about angels. I thought they were a myth, but I am reading about their existence on Earth. Each creature has a birthmark, and I was shocked to see the same mark as the one on my lower belly behind me. Wings.

He stopped near the blank-faced Vespera. "The Audit is over," Philip said, his voice solemn. "But the damage is done. The Library has a hole in it now. A hole where the future used to be." He pointed toward the great doors. Inside the darkened hall, a massive, golden clock was ticking. But it wasn't ticking forward. It was ticking backward. "The 'New Buyer' Vespera mentioned... they didn't want the books," Philip said. "They wanted the Clock of First Causes. And they’ve already set it to the day the North fell."

He looked a bit troubled. He slightly shook his head and smiled. “I have something for you.” My eyebrows shot up. Cassius walked towards me and handed me a book. “Here,” The book was thick; it also looked ancient based on its ripped edges on some pages. The hard cover is slightly cracked and the colors are faded. “Thank you, what is it about?” I looked at the strange book. He licked his lip, “It’s a book of angels.” I slowly nodded my head, “Huh,” I shrugged

But, the book seems to suggest that all those monsters exists in reality. "Werewolves? Vampires? Witches? Gargoyles? Pyromancers? Necromancers? Do these creeps really exists?" Andra and Barry's conversation was interrupted when Ethan walked towards them with the book he found. "I think you two better take a seat." Barry pointed to the couches in the middle of the room.

I had just stepped out of Lord Alaric Seraphiel's west-tower study when I ran into Adrian and his brothers in the gallery. The moment they saw me, the Seraphiel heirs went quiet. Then Lucien gave a lazy whistle, and the others burst out laughing. “Well, look who came crawling back again. "That mark belongs to me." She stepped back, blade raised again. "You're lying." He took a slow step forward, his eyes glowing brighter. "I wish I were." Before she could react, the sky darkened. Dozens of crows rose from the trees at once, shrieking and circling above them. The air grew heavy, the ground trembling under her boots. Kael looked up at the sky. "The Bloodbound has awakened." Seraphina didn't understand what he meant-she only knew one thing. Her life had just changed forever.
