The cloud above loomed dark and ominous, casting a shadow over Stefan as he stood alone in the pouring rain. He stood there, gripping the edge of the cliff, his body drenched from the downpour. He closed his eyes and let out a deep growl, his frustration and anger boiling over. The pack he thought, were in support of his nonchalancy, turned against him, when the truth surfaced, “oh no!” he screamed at his frustration, his thoughts revolving round the event.

Amidst my anger and frustration, a new wish took root: the yearning for a swift solution to the curse that bound me. The notion of finding a way to break free from this curse, to regain my power, surged through my thoughts. However, the reality was stark; I knew the solution lay distant, and the path to it was fraught with tension. In the midst of my emotional uproar, I noticed Claire's lips curving into a smile. The sight puzzled me, as I struggled to know her joy with the seriousness of the situation. Confusion settled within me, and I found myself silently questioning, "What could possibly be the reason behind that smile?"

Blaine walked out of the kitchen and saw Kaylee as he placed the dishes on the table. "How was your date?", he asked "It wasn't a date but it was fine", she replied. Mr. Blaine was about to complain about the time she had returned but when he looked up, he held on to his words. She was smiling, the smile was not a fake one, it looked very real. It has been a long since he had seen her smile like that and he did not want to ruin it. "I should take a shower and join you in the kitchen after I am done", she said and he nodded with a smile on his face as well.

The security guards flinched before quickly straightening up and addressing Carol with formal politeness. "Good day, Ms. Smith!" Carol released Alfred's hand, stepped over to me, and with gentle precision, she fixed my rumpled collar. "Sorry I'm late. You're not hurt, are you?" Sienna, tears streaming down her face, barreled into my embrace. "Daddy, I don't want you to get hurt!" Alfred stood there, dumbstruck, his mouth hanging open.

Been a long time,” she said with the kind of sarcastic smile only she could pull off without looking cold. A smile that made me want to take her into one of the back rooms and chew her clothes off. I said nothing.
