I scream. It’s a raw, animal sound that tears my throat. I swing my fist. I drive the key into his eye. SQUELCH. The sound is wet. Horrifying. The Reaper shrieks. He drops my legs, clutching his face. Blood spurts between his fingers, black in the shadows. "My eye! She got my eye!" The other two drop me. I hit the ground hard, the impact jarring my teeth. All I can see is the fiery blaze in those unholy orbs.
