I resisted the urge to fan myself as my body temperature shot up. Other than bulky muscles, black ink marked his back with various tattoos. My brain had melted the moment I saw his hot, muscular body, so before I could think about it, I took a step in his direction and then a few more until I had a clear view of his tattoos. At a little distance down the neck, there was a tattoo that portrayed eight phases of the moon in a horizontal alignment. On the right side of his back, the anatomy of a wolf heart was tattooed with blood dripping down in drops. A date, 12-08-1994, was etched beneath the wolf's heart.

But now I became hesitant even though I was excited in the forest. Seeing my hesitation, Evelyn sucked on my waist. "Step up; Alpha is waiting for you." Done, she pulled up her sleeve to reveal a tattoo. "My tattoo is here." This is the first time I've seen it at such a close distance. It's a very delicate tattoo. I twist a little to the side so I can see it clearly—the mark. It's truly red, like a bold, fearless tattoo shaped like a sun with sharp pointed rays stretching out in all directions. At the center, there is a large crescent moon cradling a five-pointed star, as if the crescent moon is protecting the star. Around the moon and star, there are small dots growing bigger with each next dot, and below the crescent moon, there is a bigger dot and even more dots that trail down in a straight line, leading into two sharp triangles pointing downwards. How did this mark end up on my body?

The tattoo looked chilling. "Are you from the 12 Constellations?" Chu Xun finally spoke but in a cold tone and stared at Cancer. Cancer's expression changed for their identities were top secrets and except for their own men, others could not get to know about it. However, the man pointed out their identities frankly, which made Cancer become vigilant. Cancer had a rough look and a bad temper, but he was a careful man. "Boy, who are you exactly?" Alpha Zane's eyes flickered open, his grey eyes swiftly moving around the room, till he came to a slow focus on Beta Kane's desperate eyes. "Alpha. You are awake." "Kane." he said, a small breath escaping his lips and he pulled himself to a sitting position. His cloak was still wrapped around him, but the right shoulder was off, exposing the constellation tattoo that extended from his upper arm to his neck, and stopped just before his ear lobe. Standing out was Polaris, the northern star, the star his pack had been named after.

The tattoo artist, immersed in his art, glided the needles with grace, revealing the constellation with each brushstroke. The man, looking up occasionally to evaluate his work, captured the young woman's expression. Her eyes twinkled with a mixture of emotion and awe, while her lips curved into a shy smile. As the constellation was revealed on her skin, Athena sank into a state of calm, as if the cosmos had aligned to give her this moment. The tattoo artist, upon completing his work, looked with satisfaction at the constellation that now was part of the young woman's skin. A piece of the universe, immortalized in a delicate corner behind her ear.
