Shadows in Arms

Shadows in Arms

I called Morrison, gave her the address, and promised to wait for backup. Then I did not wait. Lily followed me to the building entrance, bat raised like she actually knew how to use it. The door was unlocked. Not forced open, just unlocked. Like someone wanted us to walk inside. "This is a trap," Lily whispered. "I know. But we are walking into it anyway." The interior was worse than the exterior. Collapsed floors, exposed beams, the smell of rot and rust. And underneath it all, something metallic and fresh. Blood. I followed the scent, my phone flashlight cutting through darkness. The trail led down a hallway, then to a staircase descending into what looked like a basement.

Shadow Bound

Shadow Bound

Gray asks him, as we all take in the wreckage that was our camp. Strips of cloth and bent and broken metal, that just a few hours ago were tents, lay in tatters, skewered all over the ground. Tons of blood stains the dark brown forest floor. Torn pieces of bloodied flesh scattered across our campsite. I can’t help the sigh that escapes my lips. Luckily, nobody is paying any attention to me. “They’ll be okay,” Bo answers, his blue eyes dark with the reality of our current situation. “I’m just glad we haven’t been giving the new ones any wolfsbane. Who knows? Maybe they’ll learn to control it on their own.”

It was completely hidden from the outside, it didn’t look like there was a basement. I had my hand on my gun, ready for anything. He opened the cover to a light switch and pressed his thumb on a screen, moving a wall on the other side of the room. “I don’t like or trust that I’m the only one with access, what I have created is bigger than me, bigger than both of us. I worked hard to point Marcus to you, he’s damn good at what he does, I wouldn’t mind getting him in on this action too,” Corey said.

Wow.. this was an amazing story! One of my top 10 favorites on here. Unbelievably well written & flowed nicely. Kept me on my toes & wanting more. I appreciated that there were multiple POVs. Happy with how it all ended! Fantastic job author - 110% recommend reading this!

Loved this story. I wish their was a sequel. I wanted her with Fletch but Javi is just as amazing. Great story. Loved it talked about their hardships. Most importantly, for me, that she was a Black girl (biracial) trying to fit in and go through life.

Shadows Of The Dark Heart

Shadows Of The Dark Heart

Then, the harsh basement lights flickered to life. The sudden brightness stabbed into his one eye, as the other one had a rod drawn deep and the man on the floor squeezed in fear. His entire face twisted in pain, as if even the light itself was another form of torture. The footsteps stopped. The man forced his one eyelids apart, just a little A thin sliver of vision. All he could see was the silhouette of the figure approaching… And then cold shadow that fell over his broken body like a final warning. “W-at-e-r…” The word scraped out of his throat like broken glass, just a dying sound struggling to exist.

Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

Cora says, her voice excited, “you’re almost there, Ella! A few more pushes –“ But her voice fades away and – and the shadows at the edge of my vision, they don’t fade – I frown, blinking, trying to understand – Because, I mean…I’m not passing out. This is not the darkness at the edge of my vision that I’ve felt before when I’ve felt faint. This is – what the hell, it’s real shadows curling at the edges of my room… “Do you…” I ask, my voice panting as I whip my head, looking around the room, “do you guys see that?” Sinclair’s hand is on my face, turning it towards him now, his voice worried. “See what?” “The…the shadows,” I say, pulling my face from his hand, looking around the room again. I read this entire book I love this series, wonderful writing excellent story I paid for the entire book each chapter. so when I went to read the next book I went back to this book to look up a couple of things and I have to pay for it again. I don't understand I paid for the book.

I love this book! I hate that chapters are barely two pages and at this rate I’m probably not going to see the end. For the cost at this rate I could have bought quite a number in physical form. As I have so far spent just under of $100 this is most likely my last Good Novel purchase.

Bound by Blood, Fated to the Two Alphas

Bound by Blood, Fated to the Two Alphas

Light from darkness. Perfect place for this story. "You know about the shadow beast," I began. "The corruption. The mountain." She nodded. "The bad thing you had to fight." "Yes. But it wasn't just bad. It was wounded. Hurt. Corrupted by pain so old it had forgotten how to be anything else." I took a breath. "We purified it. Turn it back to light. But that created a wound. A place where shadow and light collided. Where darkness became light."

I said. “Of course Rockstar” said Roxy “Malak can you feel Lilith’s presence?” I asked him “right now Arnold, yes but it’s faint” Malak explained “if it’s faint we must follow it to its source but we’ll do that later” said Bierce “right we must focus on the task at hand” I said “right, finding and freeing Pauline, Rosalina, Peach & Daisy and they are located in the Sexual Secrets level” I said “that’s right Arnold” said Yoshi, pushing his eggs out “yes Yosh” said Malak with a smile. I looked at Bowser “Bierce, Malak and Arnold I got the map of the level” said Bowser, I look at map of the level “from the outside it’s your castle but the inside is similar to a tavern/bar also I have to deal wi

Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the Dark King

Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the Dark King

But not the reflection from before. This version was armored in shadow—literal plates sculpted from the realm itself clinging to his shoulders, chest, arms. His hair bled into darkness. His eyes were entirely black. And where Erevan’s shadows obeyed him with loyalty, these shadows coiled around the duplicate like chains—tight, choking, binding. A corrupted version of him. A version he could become. The Shadow Sovereign, the realm whispered. His worst fate. His darkest path. The monster the Council once predicted he would inevitably turn into.

The alpha king's slave mate

The alpha king's slave mate

"Tell Celeste I'm sorry. For everything. Tell her I loved her. The real me, underneath all the darkness, I loved her." "You can tell her yourself," I said, squeezing his hand. "You're right here. I hear you." "Good." His eyes were starting to glaze. "That's good. I'm glad I... glad I got to say it." The shadow corruption was visible now with black veins spreading under his skin, consuming him from the inside. Without the Shard to control it, it was devouring him rapidly. "It doesn't hurt," he said, as if reading my horror. "I can't feel much anymore. I'm just... tired. So tired."
