Marcus cast his eyes down as his shame covered him like a new winter’s coat. “ For now,Noah, please just trust me.” For a while after Noah left his room, Marcus stared up at the ceiling, feeling like the lowest form of life for lying to his best friend. How could he possibly explain to him that his dad and new girlfriend were being haunted by an ancient spirit, the same one who haunted his gran and her sister years before? “ Hello Marcus.” The voice which suddenly interrupted his thoughts, was melodious and familiar. Marcus looked to his side and by the light of the moon beaming through the window, he saw her.

I never realized how peaceful humans look when they are in the depths of deep slumber. Just by looking at one you would think all well within the world, and maybe it is but not in my world. As I watch Sky sleep I realize two things, one being that I have finally embraced the fact that I'm a nonhuman and the other is that for the first time in my life I am truly scared. For the last few days all I have been feeling this intense fear, gut wrenching fear that at any moment one of the demons after me would come and kill the love of my life. Hence why I have been watching him sleep and basically following him around for days now.

If she was required to use all of her energy to create a force field around her cottage against Kira’s maker, she wouldn’t have the energy to maintain the repelling shield. She didn’t need Kira to tell her of the nearness of her maker. She could see it in the way her friend and student’s face and mannerisms were altering. It wouldn’t be long before the master vampire would gain control over the young woman and she’d be faced with a decision of what to do. If she was going to do something to prevent it. It would have to be soon. Her eyes quickly scanned the interior of her cottage for a weapon, should she need it. It was then that she spotted the ancient spell book her grandmother gifted her

As soon as she closed her eyes, the dream continued like it was waiting for her to come back to the subconscious world. Amara shuddered with fear as if she was the part of the dream to see the vampire again. The moment his feet landed on the soil of Hamster, the birds making merry in the air of the blue sky made a preternatural chirrup flying away. The dogs howled as if a huge calamity is going to befall. The ether which appeared bright with rays of sun suddenly turned dark with loud thunders. Within a few seconds there was an outpour of rain as if the heaven was also moarning for the origin of disaster in the city.

The abyss of consequences loomed large, threatening to consume them all. In that moment, the scientist stood at the precipice of understanding, teetering between the remnants of his fascination and the sheer terror of their impending fate. The mad scientist's world had unraveled, revealing the darkness that lurked beneath his misguided pursuit of knowledge. Now, he, too, would bear witness to the consequences of his actions, entangled in a web of his own making. As the quarter moon continued its ethereal ascent, casting its silvery glow upon the unfolding scene, the scientist's transformation mirrored that of the creatures surrounding him. Eldric's flame flickered nervously as he whispered, "This presence—it's not of the astral realm. There's an unfamiliar cosmic resonance." Nebula's glow dimmed slightly. "Sasha, Alec, tread carefully. The cosmic dance has an order, and this disruption could unravel the threads of destiny." The figure raised an otherworldly hand, and a surge of dark energy enveloped Sasha and Alec. The cosmic echoes twisted, revealing glimpses of an impending cosmic imbalance. Alec tightened his grip on Sasha's hand, his eyes reflecting determination. "We won't let the cosmic balance shatter. Whatever challenges await, our love will be the constant. We'll face this disruption together."

The immortal stepped forward. “Something the eclipse woke up.” “That’s not helpful!” “It’s called a Void Revenant.” Seraphine froze for half a second. Even guardians whispered about those things in old stories. Creatures born when dead cosmic entities left scars in reality. Beings that fed on collapsing worlds. “You’re telling me that thing eats planets?” “Sometimes.” The creature lunged again. This time for him. Its massive claws crashed into his chest with enough force to shatter buildings. The entire church shook.

Elena whispered breathlessly. But the voices only laughed. At the end of the dark corridor— a door stood slightly open. Black smoke curled slowly from inside the room. Elena froze. The air itself felt wrong here. Heavy. Rotting. Alive. Another violent crash sounded from inside. Then Roberto’s voice growled hoarsely: “Get away from me.” Elena pushed the door open immediately. And stopped breathing. Shadow creatures crawled across the walls. Not fully human. Not fully spirit. Dark distorted figures twisted unnaturally around the room while candles burned blood-red.

"Good morning, Ms. Ahri Hauntsen." Ahri smiled and replied, "Good morning children, today is my last day as your volunteer teacher. I have prepared a good story for you." The children clapped their hands while going back to their seats. Ahri opened the book entitled Peculiar Morass. She cleared her throat before starting to narrate. "Once upon a time there were two people who were cursed to hate each other. They are bound to be reincarnated again and again." "Why are they cursed, anyway?" The kid with a pigtail interrupted.
