The view was unreal, like it didn’t belong in real life. The Phantom Armada had made it through the cliffs. With no giant red barrier to atomize them, the dozens of pale-grey dreadnoughts ground viciously against the jagged shores of the Crimson Continent. The metal ramps swung down. Commander Vane led the first wave, then came thousands of Lycans and Obsidian wolves, spilling into the Gothic streets of the vampire capital like a living storm. The combined roar of the North shook the whole foundation of the continent, and it felt like the ground was trying to break its own bones.
