The last time that Slabhrai, who governs the chains that connect the different planes of the world, felt this shift in power was when the first Demon King was born. Back then they merely swept it off as a normal event among them mortals; after all, they did not expect that the god of games would intervene.

Queen Lilith said, pouring in a jar of blood in her cup. “Well if it pleases my queen I have gotten for you a demon slayer for your Legion. He is powerful and really deadly just how you want it!” Hades said warmly as the flames on his head turned blue. “Hmm…I see. What do you call him?” Queen Lilith asked, taking a sip of blood from her cup. “I call him Albunuf, a slay demon. He can be really helpful to you.” Hades said, pouring himself a cup of blood into his cup.

As Maddie moved to stand behind Cassie, one Tracker demon, noticing her movement, turned to her with its toadlike eyes and ran at her, stretching its tentacles forward. Maddie screamed and threw one of the Celestial daggers in her hand. It missed the Tracker demon by a few inches and hit a Moloch demon square in the forehead. The demon dissolved in a puddle of poison. Cassie and Ayesha on the other hand, were busy dispelling the Dragonid demons. One's poisonous barbed tail narrowly missed Ayesha as she sank her dagger into its chest, yelling with a surge of adrenaline.

Damien’s POV I wake up to the sun in my eyes. Fuck my head is pounding. When I try to get up I can’t. My eyes fly open as I feel my hands and feet have been tied to.. the bed frame ? I lay my head back and sigh. Fuck. I try to swallow but my throat still feels raw. She snapped my neck. When was the last time I’ve gotten that done to me. Demons live longer than humans and most things that can kill a human won’t kill a demon.
