“Yeah. I think so.” Curtis is kicked back. Watching the moons reflection dance across the lake. “I think she’s good for you, man. You’re…. not as grouchy.” I get my back up and scowl. “I’m not grouchy.” Dale raises his bottle. “Oh, you’re grouchy.” He smiles before swinging his beer.

Tyler’s POV I watched as Dalton walked through the front door of the pack house. His face was tired and his shoulders hung. He had executed Maxine and Doctor Winder this morning and then we had all helped with tending to the hurt pack members. I didn’t go with him to see them be executed. I couldn’t bring myself to do it even though she had tried to kill me, my family, and Dalton multiple times. I just didn’t want to look her in the eyes as he took her life. I was sitting at the kitchen bar when he walked in. He eyed me and made a straight path to me. When he approached he turned my chair toward him and picked me up by my waist and held me tight to him as I wrapped my legs around his waist.

I silently ask the lord. "Hailey he was just chest buffing. He hates being looked down on. He was putting on a show," Curt explains as we near our first period. "A show that he is the master of," I mumble embarrassed that I am upset over something like this in front of Curt. "True. But I do think he is changing. He is being open with us. He is putting a ton of effort into his grades which is unheard of when it comes Dylan. And he hasn't slept with anyone since that Trish girl, which I know by our standards that isn't a long time....... but in his book it is like a century," Curt says with a dramatic hand gesture at the word century.

Opening it, Daisy found a beautifully bound journal, its pages pristine and waiting to be filled with her thoughts and dreams. It felt like a symbolic gesture, urging her to reflect on the choices ahead. The surprise birthday party continued till evening. "Allison, Christiana and Vicki, you guys have really tried for me." "I actually forgot that today was even my birthday." Daisy said, her voice barely above whispers. "Are you serious?...you mean you forgot that today was your birthday?...Wow." Vicki said. "By the way, How is your work going?...I heard the paycheck for a cleaner at Roberto's Luxury Empire is even higher than the salary of a director at other companies?"

“The files you requested have been distributed to the executives including Mr. Frank,” Curtis reported to Alpha Darren. Meanwhile, Alpha Darren was still checking the financial reports he had compiled himself from the company database. He was so focused that he didn't notice the incoming message on his phone. “Sorry Alpha Darren, your wife sent a message.” His hand slipped when Canis said 'his wife'. Yes, Alpha Darren did name Diana's contact as 'my wife' instead of her real name. He looked at Diana's desk and found it empty.

Alpha Wyatt never came back to the Packhouse while I was there, so I never even got to talk to him about anything—which didn’t help me get any sleep. I had just got to the diner and clocked in; Helping Amelia get the place ready to open, starting up some pots of coffee and making sure the dining area was clean and tidy. I make sure to unlock the doors and light up our open sign in the window. As I got behind the counter to put on my apron, my heart sinks to my stomach. He did not dare to stand up straight before Dustin and always kept his head bowed.

I miss Hunter and Alyssa day by day but I know it's for the best. I feel bad for lying to them all, but I had to. Today's Wednesday and Mr. Dechart is coming to get his money. All I wish is that I could've found a legal way without having to borrow money from anymore people.
