He looked up with piercing yellow eyes and I exhaled sharply. “Lark, Lark Skinner,” I muttered and Aella tilted her head as she observed the pointed-eared elfman. “Why is he the color of coal?” She pried and I informed her that he was a dark elf who lived in the northern stone outcrop. Jasper jumped down before him and snarled. “We left your home alone and expected you to stay away from our daughter!” I watched in disbelief as our daughter jumped down and put her hand up to her father, her eyes narrowing at Lark.

, Aaron asks, while munching on his goldfish. “I know a decent amount of things.”, I state. “What do you know about elves?” “There are six groups of elves: Moon, Elemental, Half, Nature, Avariel, and Dark elves. I know dark elves for their excellent skills at potions, dark magic, stealth, and fighting abilities; their ears are almost like vampires, but it’s to a slit. Avariel elves are winged elves. They have the same abilities as all other elves because of their mixed breeding; their ears also point straight out as well. Nature elves are known for their excellent hunting skills, potions, light magic, and their ability to communicate with animals. Half-elves are excellent at potions and it d

the man questioned. He was tall and lean but muscled, wearing the dark camouflage clothes the elf kingdom scouts wore. His hair was long and black, falling just below his shoulders, but one side of it was braided while the other was bald. Tattoos of birds lined his neck and the bald side of his head. His high cheekbones and pointed chin were the trademark sharp features of an elf.

“Hope you would not mind me calling you by your she-wolf's name.” My jaws came apart, particularly on how he knew about that piece of information. I swallowed hard. “Yes, Lord Zarek. You can call me that.” As opposed to the White-silvery hair of Lord Korran, Lord Zarek had short red hair with stunning blue eyes. Warm and deeply inviting. “Well, since you're already here, Astari, you might as well begin your duties,” he said. “Dress up my inner chamber,” he commanded. “Yes, my Lord,” I responded.

She’s a sacrifice, not a sodding pet!” “She’s a witch,” I replied, my voice steady as I traced the blade away from her throat and down her chest, feeling the warmth of her skin beneath the cold steel.“That’s why I chose her.” “Is she a light witch or a dark witch?” Leon, another brother questioned, his brow furrowing in suspicion. I held Elara’s gaze, watching as surprise washed over her face. “She’s neutral,” I said. “But not for long. I want to break her. I want to turn her darker than any witch to walk the earth—darker than us.”

"Be my guest." The truth hurt. Blood magic and essence magic didn't mix and Curzon knew it. He looked ready to tear her from the horse and let it trample her, but a horn sounded, taking his attention. His men surrounded Violet and Curzon, raising swords and spears. The air turned damp and heavy; clouds settled into the treetops. A charge sounded as riders clad in black and gold appeared with a tall elf on a spotted horse leading them. Violet couldn't take her eyes off him. His white hair hung long past his shoulders and a gold crown sat on his brow. His amber eyes carried spun gold inside as if the sun had settled within his gaze for a moment.

Amber shook her head. " What about the Holy Maiden?" Manor wondered. " She was a pure elf." Amber informed. " What about you? Aren't you a dark elf?" Manor titled his head. " Hey! My skin is dark blue, slightly purple, not light blue! I'm a rare elf, like an albino lion and if I wasn't born in this village, I wouldn't be allowed here." Amber pouts as she covers her arms with her cape. " What about Cynthia?" I added on to the list of questions.

Her eyes closed, a profound concentration on her face. Then, with a deep breath, she plunged her hand into the light. The vortex pulsed, and from its depths, a figure began to coalesce. He emerged, tall and regal, his skin like polished obsidian, his hair a cascade of silver that shimmered with starlight. His eyes, though dark, held a piercing intensity, and a faint, intricate pattern of glowing runes adorned his cheekbones. He wore robes of midnight silk, adorned with constellations. He was a Dark Fae, but one of immense power and ancient lineage.
