When my joke lands she tilts her head back to laugh, shaking her head as she looks at me. "You're ridiculous." She says. "You're smiling." I respond. She gives me that warm look again and I wonder what's going through her mind at this moment. "You got any other ones?" She asks and I wrack my brain for any other dad jokes. "Um... The circus lion ate the clown but didn't finish." I say. "Why?" She asks. "Because he tasted funny." I respond and Harper chuckles again. "More." She teases, but I just shrug.

What a waste of time. In that instance, I saw two bulky men approaching. They look damn serious and scary if I may add. " Have a nice stay in your new home " Dad taunted. " Fuck off! " I screamed and he laughed. Are you kidding me right now? Is dad kidding me? Does he enjoy seeing me in pain? How can he?

Carl imitated his daughters snappishness and even do some body wave that is totally gross to see. "My gush, Dad! That's nasty." She exclaimed and the two little girls laugh. Here they are again, bullying their Dad. "No sense of humor." Carl points his finger at Dolora who's smiling triumphantly on how she just dropped the biggest bomb over her Dad. "Full of it, actually. Don't you hear Ezzy and Fin just laugh? It's how you make kiddies tickle their tummy." She proudly told her Dad. "It's not that, it's how you make fun of me." Dad teased. "If you sound this tired the next time you call, you'll be having two mums there in Seattle with you." "Is that a threat?" he asked. "No, it's not." I said, "It's a warning." Dad erupted into a bout of laughter and I smiled at that. I gave myself a mental pat on the back for doing such a good job of making my Dad laugh. "I taught you very well, my daughter." Dad commented, his laughter having reduced to amused chuckles.

Daphne POV “Hey stranger, your keys to the new house” Dad said jiggling the keys. “What? Why?”, “hmm because you are moving out” Dad said upon entering my refurbished office.
