I slipped out of bed as softly as I could so I wouldn’t wake him. Pulling a blanket off the chair near the bed, I walked over to him. For a moment, I stood there, watching him breathe steadily. I didn't know how he managed to push himself like this night after night. Carefully, I unfolded the blanket over him, adjusting it slightly so it covered his shoulders. Then, I closed his laptop and stepped back. Turning, I made my way out of the bedroom. The house was quiet and bathed in darkness. I walked down the hallway toward the kitchen as I combed a hand through my tangled hair.

Angela asked. “Oh, I didn't create the darkness; it was a result of the dark energy that possessed me after the death of Darwin. The darkness strips away all good from whoever steps into it and slowly drains or rewrites your memories. You guys probably weren't affected because your magic was stronger than it,” Daniella explained. “Yeah, I quickly figured out that something was wrong with the memory the darkness was showing us. It felt so real; it felt like that woman was really my mother, and all of that really happened,” Marie said softly, staring at the ground.

It grew stronger and twice the size as before. The Darkness Palace was aptly named for several reasons. One, those who use Divination had trouble looking into them. A fog or blanket of Darkness obscuring everything they do. Only allowing people to see what they wanted to see if they themselves used Divination. Which Ren does because of his Mental Manual.

I could hear someone chuckling but it wasn't Rowan, it was Lucas, Rowan's brother. ‘’I’m Lucas’’ he brought his hand forward for me to shake. ‘’Leah, nice to meet you but I’m in a hurry.’’ ‘’Sure, pleasure’s all mine’’ ‘’What the fuck is going on here?’’, and here comes the wolf who was hiding in the lamb’s clothes, glaring at where my hand was still in his brother’s. ‘’Does it look like we are fucking each other? It's a handshake’’, I replied, with sarcasm of course.

“I already told you I hate it when you interrupt me.” The first crack on the floor happened right in between Diana and the warlocks. “W-What’s happening?” “Is this another trick of a dark witch?” “She’s not a witch! She’s a hybrid!” The crack started to slither as it grow longer and bigger. “Wrong. Dark magic is not my thing.” Her eyes gleamed with crimson embers of anger and anguish. “It’s time manipulation.” Boom! Before the remaining warlocks could conjure the last of their magic to break free from the spell, the two nearest pillars smashed them into a pile of meat paste and bones. Blood immediately flooded the floor.

But now that, was going to change. As blood trickled from my lip, I felt the familiar cold embrace of my darkness. But this time, instead of rejecting it, I welcomed it. As I embraced it, my senses heightened, my eyesight sharpening unnaturally. And as the coldness travelled down my arms, black veins started to appear, the consequenting mark of my dark magic. The girls froze as they saw the transformation, their eyes widening in terror. Good, they should be afraid.

He extended his hand for her to take and she noticed how he is testing her obedience every second, it felt like if she doesn't agree then he will worsen it. She hesitantly placed her small palm in his large one and he led her towards the room. Marona looked at him confused when they entered the dark room. She was calm until he switched on the lights and her eyes widened in horror. It was a room filled with sexual equipment. She didn't know that he is involved in dark stuff like this. She quickly pulled her hand away from his hold and stepped back. "No!" Her head shook in horror. Mikhail grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer and she tried to step back from him.

“I’m sorry…” His body begins to relax, and I slowly rest his head back on the pillow before touching the first incision. My fingertips glow pink as I draw the darkness from him and, with my other hand, release it into the air. Just like water kept under the moonlight, I am dispelling the darkness from his body, one section at a time. With each touch, his heartbeat calms, his body stilling, and soon his breathing is steady. But it’s draining, the darkness has been manifested and each tug, each tendril of it weakens me.

Words eluded him, after he'd said her name with so much surge of emotions. But then, the thoughts came. The hopelessness. The possibility that this could be another god-damned mirage. Another trick to get him at his edge. Another lie. Another reason to leave him more sullen. But as much as Arthur tried to convince himself that this was a mirage, it wasn't working. The voice was so vivid. And this time, he'd found someone who seemed like she owned the voice. His shaky fingers grabbed the shot glass and he took its content in a quick draught. Dizziness crawled up his eyes, but he definitely shook it off.

I could see the trust in their eyes, and I know that I have to do this for them, for our pack, and for everyone who relies on us to stop the darkness. With a deep breath, I draw on the power of the nexus, letting it flow through me like a river of pure energy. I can feel the darkness trying to resist, trying to push back against the light that I am channeling. But I know that I can't falter now. As the power surges within me, I raise my hands toward the heart of the nexus and let out a primal roar. A blinding light erupts from my fingertips, illuminating the darkness and pushing back the malevolent forces that seek to control it.
