It took Leana almost all day to recover from her blood loss. Kella was working overtime to heal her, but the body can only recover so fast from loss of blood. When she finally opened her eyes, Drake had nearly sobbed in relief. I think maybe he actually did, because I smelled the scent of blood and there was a bit smudged on his face. The young boy lay obediently on the bed, appearing frail despite the white coat accentuating his youth. Lucas discovered he had leukemia during a school sports event when his nose suddenly started bleeding. Soon, his eyes began bleeding as well. Bleeding from all seven orifices is one of the symptoms of leukemia. However, ever since falling ill, he had remained calm and composed, facing life and death bravely unlike an ordinary sixteen year old teen.
