Clarisse raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying any of it. Her face mirrored her doubt as she leaned closer, lowering her voice in a mock-serious tone. “Let me guess. You already picked a name, and it was mine, wasn’t it?”
His eyes darted away, his cheeks flushing a shade of red that betrayed his embarrassment. “No,” he muttered, “I haven’t named her yet. I…I’m still trying to make sense of her.”
I squinted, my mind racing. Damien told me his name, so other demons must also introduce themselves. Could some demons lack names until someone gives them one?
