"I… have done you an injustice, boys." He saluted everyone before catching Tim off guard by snatching his gun from his holster and shooting himself in the temple as everyone looked on. Bang! Blood splattered, covering Eric's face as he died, eyes wide in grief. "Eric… Brother!" Tim gaped in disbelief at Eric's tragic bow out and leapt toward Eric. He pressed his hand on the bullet wound, as if to stop the bleeding. But the shot was lethal—there was no chance of survival. The room immediately turned dead silent, with the soldiers turning away despite their enthusiasm earlier, unable to bear another look at Eric's body.

“He’s planning something. A move. A war. He wants to kill you all. Because of me.” The silence was a hammer. Erico reacted first. He grabbed my shoulders — not harshly, but firmly enough to anchor me in place. “Listen to me,” he said, leaning in. “You don’t apologize for surviving. You don’t apologize for him. Chapter 294 Back in the conference room: Continued Unique's men: “HEY, SOME OF US HAVE TO TAKE A LEAK! Eric yelled getting their guards attention with an evil smirk. “Why the fuck are you yell…” The guard said before someone grabbed him around the neck and choked him while Eric grabbed his gun and put a bullet in his head. “Aight let's get outta here.” Eric said as he looked out the door and fired his gun taking out the other guards before they could react. He was glad that the gun he was using had a silencer on it, making it easy to kill without the guards even knowing until it was too late.

“I ran.” I swallowed hard. “And?” He laughed weakly. It was humorless. “They beat me.” My breath caught. I pressed the phone tighter to my ear. “They nearly killed me, Isabel.” The room spun. This was bad. It was much worse than I thought. I pressed a hand to my forehead. “Eric…” “I’m serious.” His voice cracked. “If I don’t get their money…” He paused. And when he spoke again, his voice dropped to a whisper. “I’m dead.”

They are all dead, the same way Mathias died. Eric enters two of the cells and I enter the third and we see that none of the men have a pulse. “Shit!” That’s all I can manage to yell. Completely frustrated. I leave the cell and my eyes meet Eric’s. He sighs and says, “What the fuck is going on, Alec? It cannot be that four people die simultaneously, with seizures. These smells bad.”

Safe, but only in the way a hiding place can ever feel safe. Eric dropped the duffel bag on the floor and sank onto the couch. His hands shook as he ran them through his hair, a low sigh slipping through his lips. “We should be okay here,” he said. “No one knows about this place except me.” She didn’t answer. Her mind was still back in that room at Daxton, the gun cooling in her hand. The look in that man’s eyes when he realized he was dying. She couldn’t wash it away, no matter how hard she tried.

Lauren staggered back in alarm, her hand grabbing the bedposts. "Do something." She yelled "Beth, fucking do something!" Beth rushed to Eric's side and bent over him, then after a few seconds, straightened up. Lauren stumbled forward with tears in her eyes, grabbing Beth's clothes "He's gonna die if you don't do something!" "I'm not gonna die." Eric's voice came from the bed "Calm your horses, Sommers." Lauren turned so fast she was surprised she didn't keel over. "Eric? Eric!" She leaned forward and wrapped her arms around him, tears of gratitude falling from her eyes.
