Amidst my tears, I could hear him barking orders to his men on the phone, to come and extract the bodies from the room.

I was in a room with two dead bodies, and their murderers. Insane, don’t you think? I’m just some church girl, you know. Getting involved in crime is wild.
“Make sure you come with all the necessary equipment to clean this up,” Damon said, scrunching up his nose. “I don’t need this blood on my floors and walls. It’s nauseating.”
I observed him as he spoke, my eyes scaling the planes of his body. I don’t know what a great body is, but I think this is what it should look like. My eyes stopped on his shoulder injury, and I remembered he had just been shot.
