I had bad dreams every now and then that scared me, but I would forget them almost immediately after I woke up. I dreamt something entirely different during my nap, I was someplace otherworldly. The grass was bright green and the sky as blue and clear as Damien’s eyes, but there were four men in front of me laying on the ground, it was Bradley and his friends from last night. They were all unconscious on the ground, and I bent down and touched the first one in an attempt to wake him up, but the moment I touched him I was transported someplace else.

That wasn't real. I move away from the door before taking a deep breath to calm myself. In the dream, I had come back home to propose to my girlfriend. Except in this dream, I was dating Ana. Saph didn't exist. I told Ana I loved her, wanted to marry her, and wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I was whole and undamaged. She was carefree and happy.
