365 DAYS WITH YOU
I argued, laughing, that it would be a boy, an Alex, and our banter was a sweet serenade that filled the air.
But then, the dream shattered like fine crystal. An explosion rocked the landscape, a blinding light that seared my eyes. A figure emerged from the radiance, a stranger who dragged me away from Carl's grasp. I screamed, kicked, and flailed, my cries for help echoing through the void as Carl struggled to reach me, held back by two hulking figures that seemed to appear from nowhere. My screams pierced the air, shattering the dream, and I jolted awake, my bed drenched in sweat, my breath coming in ragged gasps. Where was I? What had happened? The fragments of the dream still lingered.
