Sarah That night, I have a dream that seems so realistic. I’m running through the woods, on my way to somewhere. I don’t know exactly where I’m going, but I know there’s an important place where I’m supposed to be. I’m alone, yet I don’t feel like I’m alone. I feel like someone is watching me. Someone is waiting for me. Despite this, I’m not afraid. I only feel at peace here. Soft pink clouds tumble in the sky. Silver flowers whisper their encouragement to me. While lilac trees shake their leaves in a dance that I will never be permitted to be part of.

Now, about the dream I had last night. It was sweet. Not scary like the last one I had after my first swim. Lately, I’ve noticed that I tend to dream my thoughts in a more poetic way. This was the dream: Cynthia and I were in a beautiful park with a massive flower garden. The place looked like a fairytale—flowers of every color, bright and vibrant, swaying gently in the breeze. The air smelled fresh and sweet, and there were people all around us, all in pairs, like couples on a romantic getaway.

It wasn't a dream I escaped. The most amazing smell of peppermint chocolate and raspberries fills my nose. I turn looking to my right. I'm met with those soul shattering blue eyes. Beautiful and colourful flowers were protruding upward and butterflies were dancing above the flowers. One butterfly caught my attention as she stopped in front of me. She had a mesmerizing blue and white wings. She kept bobbing up and down in front of my face and then flew in the other direction. I watched as she stopped as if asking me to follow her.

That night, I had a dream. I was standing in a meadow filled with wildflowers, their petals shimmering with colors that didn't exist in the waking world. The sky above was a deep, endless purple, and two moons hung low on the horizon—one silver, one gold. A child laughed somewhere nearby.

“It’s teaching itself to feel.” Sophia whispered, “To mirror us more completely.” The hum returned—barely perceptible, like a breath taken from another dimension.
