Shaking.” I got the words out where I could, but it was difficult when my body felt like it had been fed through a paper shredder. “You were having a bad dream.” James gave me a concerned look, which was quite comical when I came to think of it.

My lips parted and closed, wondering if I was doing the right thing or not I decided to just spit it out "Did you used to have dreams when you were my age? Or do you have dreams now?" Her brows raised and then furrowed "What kind of dreams?" I laughed nervously and shrugged "You know, just dreams that are so vivid that you remember them when you wake up. Dreams that seem to show you glimpses of the future" She eyed me with that strange look that made me uncomfortable again "No sweetie, I don't have dreams like that. I barely remember whatever I do dream about when I wake up and I most certainly do not see glimpses of the future"

My mouth watered at the sight, my once-dull teeth now sharpened into fangs. Oh my fucking gods. What the hell is happening to me?I had to be hallucinating. I freaking had to be. Once I splashed more water on my face, I wiped the blood away and stared at my teeth, which were now dull again. I mean, they hadn’t been fangs in the first place. They couldn’t have been. And my eyes … they were my regular color still. Nothing had changed. I just … hadn’t had much to eat tonight. I must’ve been seeing things now. Maybe all that face-fucking and closet sex had gone to my head. I needed some water to drink and something to fill my tummy.

“I’ll leave you to it.” I get up and brush my teeth. All the while, I’m thinking about the dream. I’m getting shivers even now, and there’s this bitter taste in my mouth that no amount of toothpaste can get rid of. I’m just flustered by what happened, and I hate that I had to have such a dream.

A lump that would soon explode into a myriad of tears. I closed my eyes as I sat on the dusty stone floor, my head in my hands.
