Elemental Witch Romane & Geschichten

Let's stick to the big three for now. First up, the Ragana, or witches. More or less human, I guess, but with a serious upgrade. While regular humans can only harness a tiny, almost negligible amount of magic—like trying to fill a bathtub with an eyedropper—magic in witches is powerful. It’s rooted deep into their very being, humming beneath their skin. Witches are able to harness power from the elements: fire, water, earth, air. And a select few? They can tap into something much darker, the element of shadow. It's the kind of power that makes your skin prickle just thinking about it.

So, she was always happier to know the young witches or wizards. Sitting over the floor cross-legged in a meditating position, she chanted some spells and then touched her palms over the floor. She was connecting herself to the earth. For a witch, the magic comes from earth. Although, she was able to channelize water and fire also, but earth was the most powerful element for witches. She channelized her energy into the earth to know about the ones practicing magic. After a moment, she shot open her eyes as if she had seen a ghost, totally surprised and shocked.

I quickly search for 'Four cardinal elements' and when I hit enter a lot of links about nature religions, paganism and something called wicca pops up. "Wind, fire, water and air. The Four elements that flow through us all is the pillow in practising witchcraft". I read out loud. Witchcraft ? Well I can't be turning into a witch. I open the link, feeling curious. Looking down the page, several things seem to draw me in. I nervously bite my lip before pushing the link saying 'magic and spells'.

Isabella looked at me like I would look at a child who said something cute. “Yeah, they both do magic, but the magic is different. It comes from a different place,” she explained. “A witch’s magic comes from the base five elements: earth, air, fire, water and spirit and we normally have an affinity for just one of those. Like for me, I work well with fire,” and she held her left hand up and a small fireball appeared, “But a sorcerer’s magic, that works on a more multidimensional level. Anything! Her talent was not only the witchery, she learnt in her childhood also it was not even using any sort of magic to cure the people. Her real talent was to portray lies so realistically that the other person had to give in to her wishes, she knew how to toy minds well. “I tried many nights practicing this, but I can only activate the fire and healing elements.” She then shook her head and sighed. “Listen, Elizabeth,” she said and went beside me so she can point her index finger at the elements around the witch. “You can recognize all of the emblems of the elements. The first emblem is the fire element; the second is the water element; the third, as you can see, is the earth element, which you activated the last time we talked in the palace; and lastly the wind element. These four elements can be concocted and activated all together only by a witch queen…”
