Eva was busy fighting off two guards when a shot was heard and soon followed by the thud of a body. King Zane had been hit with a tranquilizer and he had fallen. During this distraction, Martin was able to inject Sam with a tranquilizer as well causing Sam to fall as well. At the thud of the second body, Eva knew something was wrong. It was as if her strength had been zapped from her and she grew weaker. Another shot was fired and soon Alana and Calvin were also hit, Eva was the last remaining person still standing and she was almost at her limit. When she felt a sharp pain in her left arm she knew that she had been hit with something.

The seven-year-old revealed that her name is Evie. “Attacked?” I ask. The girl nods. “Who? What pack?” Evie’s expression tightens, her small hands curling into the blanket. “I… don’t know.
