The Last Straw

The Last Straw

"You're vile! How could you even think of letting my sister marry an idiot like him?!" I pressed my palm to my burning cheek, tears welling up in my eyes. However, I refused to back down, tilting my head up and looking straight into his eyes. "Let's get a divorce."

Sentenced to Marriage

Sentenced to Marriage

I gasped in excitement, at the same time hoping that I didn't break anything. I grabbed my phone and turned on an app with a magnifying glass. As I looked at the frame, I noticed that it was made from eight thin pieces of metal, all with one end hidden under the next one on the left. Each little strap had a small, round button-like bulge at its right end. Once I pressed the button, I could move the strap forward or backward. Above the metal pieces were rows of tiny vertical lines combined into bigger segments, each marked with a different Chinese character. It almost resembled a ruler. "Oh, my God! How could I be so stupid?! " I burst out laughing, finally noticing the mechanism.

A very lovely book..The entire story line was a perfectly synced and the story was carried out gracefully .From the starting am following this book i dont know how time passed and this book ended and after seeing many ups and downs of CORA and AREN they have formed a special place in my heart .
Tiffanie Smith
I am loving this book. I especially love that Cora is not timid and afraid to speak her mind like a lot of other books portray their main female character. I read all the chapters in a day and now anxiously await future updates!

Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted

Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted

he pursed his lips and said. Vermont widened his eyes in shock, amazed by Keegan's words. Everyone there had a weird look on their faces. Stella, on the other hand, looked disheartened. 'He's so bad at this!' Lena continued to describe the object, "People usually use them in pairs." Vermont held back his laughter and said, "It can be used again after a quick wash." "You use it in your eyes," Stella added. "It's contact lenses," said Marshall.

I am on chapter 1700 and trust me this has to be the only book here that I have not lost interest in,i.e, the chapters have not dragged on and you literally are on the edge of your seat throughout the book. Enjoyed the whole book except the last few chapters.Hope the story doesn't become cliched now

What makes this story good are the characters, mainly the lead characters. Unlike other stories where the leads are usually portrayed as someone omnipotent with multiple hidden excellent identities, both Stella and Keegan have their own flaws and weaknesses, which made their characters more charming

The Secret Wife

The Secret Wife

The glasses were now adorned with a slice of fruit, strategically placed on the rim. It was a simple yet visually striking touch, elevating the experience of enjoying the juice. The vibrant hues of the fruit slices created a delightful contrast against the transparent glass, enhancing the visual appeal. With the glasses filled and garnished, Drew turned towards me, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. He extended a glass towards me, the vibrant liquid glistening invitingly. I reached out, taking the glass delicately, appreciating the craftsmanship and the care that went into its creation.

Lust and Games With The Mafia Lord

Lust and Games With The Mafia Lord

“I'll get us drinks, you are still uptight, the alcohol we help you loosen up.“ He muttered and left even before she could reject the offer. “What's up with him? He always acts like he knows what is best for me,” she mumbled. Robert came back minutes later with two glasses of alcohol, one had a pink color at the bottom and orange on the tap. The glass had a straw on one side and an orange on one side of the glass. While the other glass had an amber color. He handed the glass with a straw to Ruth, “what is this?“ She asked, she had never had a drink with mixed colors before.

Unwanted Mate

Unwanted Mate

He lost track of time, his eyes growing weary and strained, yet the sky remained a canvas of gloomy clouds. Finally, Jeremy lowered his head, feeling the strain in his neck. He closed his eyes, wincing at their slight burning sensation. Even with his eyes shut, he could still visualize the sky–the clouds dancing and shifting, as if etching an indelible image on the canvas of his eyelids.

Emily, Mr. Billionaire.

Emily, Mr. Billionaire.

“What is this-“ Like she could already read his mind, the second he turned the case around, there was a note attached to it. Slowly, he ripped it off and took the note, reading the little message scribbled on it. ‘Before you ask, I know you aren’t blind. They aren’t glasses for blind people. It’s to prevent you from getting blind. Haha. They’re blue light filtered glasses. You stare at screens way too much so when next you want to do that, put them on. They prevent your eyes but getting old and boring (we don’t want your eyes matching your personality, do we?)’ “What?” He laughed to himself, reading the note. “This is ridiculous.” He laughed again, slowly taking the glasses out of the case t

RISEN: THE LYCAN PRINCESS

RISEN: THE LYCAN PRINCESS

Urien added, “You wear glasses, right?” Stavros said, and I nodded. “Urien, your nerdy look can wear them too, right?” Stavros looked at Urien, and he gave him just one firm nod. “Alright, I have special glasses with invisible cameras; instead of wiring you up, you can be in contact through them…” Stavros informed us, and he suddenly left, “Grecco, do you see anything?” Mat asked, and Grecco closed his eyes and took a deep breath. His eyebrows squinted, and he opened them.

Triple Trouble, My fated mates

“Alicia, take up your things and come forward.” Arnold was about to stand up, protectively, but I shook my head at him and took my bag and I went to the front of the class. “Look here, Alicia. Why are you at the back? They’re all taller than you.” He shifted his glass again as he asked me. I shrugged. “I have been there all this time, is there a problem?” He smiled, shaking his head. “Oh girl, You see the glasses I wear?” I nodded. “Well it wasn’t always on me. I used to see just fine, until I started to strain my eyes, you see.”

Ilyria and the Lightning Bird

Ilyria and the Lightning Bird

Astrapi must have felt the tension in her body because he pulled her closer to him. “Watch carefully,” he said into her ear. She stared ahead of her but all she could see was those angry looking clouds. Then the bolt of lightning … except it wasn’t a bolt of lightning, but the gleaming edge of a glass fortress. “You have to keep looking at it,” said Astrapi once he had felt the start in her body that let him know she had seen it, “You train your eyes how to see it, then it becomes obvious.”
