Fabled Webs Novels & Stories

It was a tapestry of legends, myths, and history waiting to be unraveled. She turned to Roberick with a hint of curiosity in her eyes. "Tell me, Roberick, what's the most fascinating legend you've come across in your research about Aradonna?" Roberick's face lit up with enthusiasm. "There are many, but one that has always intrigued me is the tale of the 'Gardens of Eternal Bloom.' It's said that in the heart of Aradonna, there exists a hidden garden where the flowers never wither, and the air is always filled with the sweetest fragrances. It's rumored to be a place of immense beauty and serenity, a symbol of the kingdom's resilience."

"Gaby ... I didn't see you there." "That's a nice sign, don't you think? I bet the interior looks awesome," her freshly graduated assistant commented. Olivia shrugged, "I'll be attending the opening tonight, I'll give you inside information," she laughed lightly. "Do you know that Ludus means uncommitted love? I searched it on G****e," Gaby was still looking out the glass door. She paused before answering, "Really? I didn't know that ... I wondered what it meant, that's a funny name to name an art gallery."

Jacob replied. Soon, Isabella noticed an old abandoned, house far off in the distance, in desperate need for a new paint job. She shivered, as though, ice had replaced her spine. It looked like one of those haunted houses you saw in the movies. The cold air enveloped her entire body. The multiple layer of clothing could not protect against the deathly cold, and Samson tightened his hold on her. The walkway leading up to house were cracked. Weeds and dandelions poked out from these cracks. Vines formed a twisted maze upon the side of house, reaching their tentacles towards the roof. The house's walls showed black decay by neglect. Splotches of original paint hinted at the house former prosper

The blood slowed before finally stopping, but I didn’t let go until the cut completely faded from his arm, leaving no sign of ever being there apart from the blood. I dropped to the ground, trying to regain control of my body. My strength was depleted and sleep called to me. If they wanted to hurt me right now I doubted I could heal as quickly as I normally would. Zak crouches next to me, shooting a death glare at the council as Gabriel shows them his arm. “Interesting.” Gabriel mumbles to himself. “Does your ability work on the dead?” I shook my head no. “Have you tried?” “Yes.” I managed. I grabbed Zak’s arm as he helped me stand again.

I am surprised when he whispers, “Do you feel it? Do you feel the sparks?” More tears slip from my eyes as I break the connection with his eyes and look down as I say, “No. I’m sorry Alpha. I have no wolf… I can’t be the one for you…” I know it's not the entire truth and I lie about what I feel as more tears slip from my eyes. I don’t want to get my hopes up by telling him what I do feel. I don’t want to believe that he will rescue me and then he leaves me here after using my services. So I do something I haven’t done in a very long time. I disobey Angus and run from Alpha Nightmoon, I don’t stop until I reach my cabin.

“Do you know what it's like to be on the other side?” I was surprised by her question. The other side was scary, and back when I was still working in the library, I stumbled upon a book that contained many prophecies and past deeds that was when I learned that the other side was not a place anyone would want to go, and if you did bad the moon goddess was going to punish you. “I don't know I haven't gone to the other side, but I heard stories that the other side is quite scary, it is not a place that you want to cross over to”

I go straight into my explanation before he gets a chance to be confused. “It’s the exact same red as the threads I see. I had it spelled so it should repel dirt and water. It should be pretty much unbreakable to any reasonable amount of force, and it should grow or shrink to adapt to whatever form you happen to be in. There’s also a safekeeping spell. It shouldn’t fall off or come off unless you intentionally remove it…” Bellamy is staring at me wide eyed and not saying anything. I keep babbling awkwardly, filling the silence.

I said much more seriously, "I need to explain something very important to you." "What-" "Just listen. If somehow I lose to my mom, it's possible for you to revive me. All you need is a small amount of both of our daughter's blood and a ritual book." John was visibly shocked, obviously he didn't think I was serious, either about me dying or being able to revive me. "Bu- but you wouldn't lose right?" "Of course not. Once I deal with my mom, there will be no one who can stop me. Don't worry, I'll be back." I said confidently.

Sparkles had only encountered it once, and she had hoped never to again because the battle with it was so fierce, and it was a surprise she came out victorious. She let out a relieved sigh as she didn't perceive the familiar stench of the werejaguar. Yet, they were still under attack. “East Vale.” Sparkles gritted her teeth. That was the only kingdom that had those species of supernatural beings. It was scarce to come in contact with them in West Vale. “We are surrounded,” Jaxon mumbled as he strode into the room. He cracked his knuckles and lifted his hand to his lips as one of the newly recruited werewolves wandered in.
