Only after seeing my breathing become steadier did Hannah let out a small sigh of relief before her expression became serious again. “Kaida, do you remember what I told you before?” She didn’t wait for me to answer before continuing. “You’re the Luna-to-be, and this is the time your presence is needed the most. Kabir is about to leave for war, and this won’t be an easy battle.” She looked deeply into my eyes. “Kaida, what do you think we, as the people closest to him, should do?” I fell silent. Only then did I realize how badly I had lost my composure. If even I became afraid, then how could the people of the pack stay calm?

I am really glad you came out here to comfort me.” My eyes widened for a sec, but I was quick to brush off the surprised look on my face,the night had gone terribly, and I couldn't make it worse. “I am Kiara, Alpha heir to Raven stone,I am a freshman.” I stretched out my hand with a smile, “Welcome to AlphaBeta, Kiara. I am Aiden.” She smiled back, the dullness on her face disappearing.

She hurried to the palace almost jogging, she could not wait to get to the palace and talk to her mother about this. Most importantly she was scared, she did not know what to do with this. When she got to the palace other fairies greeted her with a friendly smile, but she did not even hear them. The other fairies were confused by her behavior because she was a friendly person and is always smiling. “Mom!” called out Kendra as soon as she entered the palace.

Permanent. Soren opened it without ceremony. "We're here to determine the status of Celeste, former beta of Stonehaven, regarding asylum." His voice was measured, the voice of a man who knew how to hold a room. "The floor is open. Speak plainly." A beat of silence. Kendra stood. She had changed since the truck stop — clean clothes, hair down, but the same stillness in her body that the compound had built into her. She stood at the end of the table and looked at the council and spoke the way she did everything — without performance, without hesitation.

He will not wish what he went through on his worst enemy, let alone on someone he loves. Kendra is not in the mood to satisfy anyone’s curiosity; all she cares about is getting her mate back, and she will stop at nothing until she gets the blonde back.

Chapter One Hundred and Twenty Six Kaida’s POV “Kaida?” a voice called softly. I lifted my hand and pointed into the darkness. A line of black smoke formed shapes that should not have existed. I saw wolves with too many limbs, maidens with hollow faces, a tall hooded figure whose eyes glowed even in the dark, men with unusual claws, and children whose heads were unusually big. I saw all of them. “Kaida!” I felt a hand on my body and it caused me to bat my eyelashes. I stopped looking right in front of me and realized the voice I had been hearing belonged to Alpha Kellan.

She muttered rushing towards the door. Mark stopped her before she could leave. He has always pampered Kayla and will make sure she gets anything she wants and that includes Kade. Everyone knows that Kade doesn't have a mate so, it won't be a bad thing if he could get his daughter to mate with Kade. Werewolves who don't succeed in finding their life mate always look for a substitute. Fortunately for him, his daughter will be Kade's substitute.
