My knees buckled suddenly beneath me, as I fell into total darkness. End of flashback

I let the weakness and pain in my bones swallow me completely until I was numb to them and I was falling back into the deep, endless pit of darkness. “We are losing her again!” A sharp voice pierced through the darkness in nothing but a whisper but I could feel the fear coated in the voice. “Stay with me,” It was begging for the impossible. I have lost every strength I had to fight. I just wanted it all to end. I was at peace. I had embraced the darkness and all its promises, not looking back. Not having any regrets.

Esma’s pov “Ouch!” I groaned as I tried to move my leg. We fell from what I supposed to be the sky now. we truly are in hell, I guess. I looked up from where we fell and it was nothing. There was not a sky, nothing but just darkness. dark enough to find it hard to see and light enough to see our surroundings. My healing was not that fast as it was used to be. Maybe it was one of the disadvantages of coming to the world of undead. Although there was a light scratch, it was surely healing slowly if not like normal.

I hear nothing but someone running towards me. What just happened? I needed answers but the dark was calling onto me. There’s a face hovering over me and I recognize it right away before I let the darkness claim me with its cold fingers. Dickhead.

She fell on the cold cemented floor, her side throbbed in pain. Terror enveloped Nathalie's body, disabling her to move every limb. Her heart hammering in her chest like it was about to jump out. She never felt this scared before. Is it the perverted man? Hold-upper? A killer? The person behind her moved swiftly and in a second she felt that her control is starting to lose. Her body is giving in that later on she found herself completely paralyze. And then ... all fell in darkness.

Clara’s scream echoed endlessly as she plummeted into the abyss. The black void swallowed her whole, dragging her down into its suffocating depths. The walls of the chasm blurred around her, slick with shifting shadows that reached like claws to tear her apart. The air burned in her lungs, her arms flailed, but there was nothing to grasp, nothing to stop the fall. Her last sight before darkness took her was Adrian, his face twisted in agony, struggling against the shadows that bound him. His voice thundered across the chasm, raw and broken.

My head bounced with a loud thud that echoed through my ears and darkness captured me. Relief flooded my body as I laid in the darkness. I felt light and peaceful. There was no pain, just lightness. It felt like I was floating. I was no longer falling, just still in the darkness. I pulled myself to my feet and felt the floor beneath me. I looked down at my stomach like there should be something there, but I couldn’t think why. I wandered through the darkness looking for a way out like normal. There was always a way out, but this time it was not obvious. The darkness was a bottomless pit. I walked and walked.

Rigel gasped as golden flames wrapped around him, searing away the darkness, consuming him in something holy, something pure. The darkness screamed. And Daniel… Turned back to face it. “You want me?” he said, voice unwavering. He took a step forward, away from Rigel. It happened in an instant—tendrils of pure shadow wrapping around his limbs, pulling him in, drowning him in endless black. “No!” Rigel’s scream shattered the night. But it was too late.

He fell into that abyss, swallowed whole and silent, dropping toward a place with no light and no echo. Damon’s world went dark. “Damon! Someone call the healer!”
