I just wanted all this to end. “One more step Taylor. Just one more.” I raised my leg and moved forward. My feet hit nothing. Immediately, the fog vanished. I was at the edge of a cliff and I just took a wrong step. I fell off . “Ahh!!!” Something grabbed me, my body jolting in midair. I arched forward because of the weight of the fall. My back cracked. “My Luna I’ve got you. It’s alright. You are alright, Okay.” I began to cry. Why the hell just happened? I…I almost died

I yanked his hands off my body and I heard his scream. He was falling backward. My eyes widened and the anger I felt vanished away in a second. I reached out to him and grabbed his right hand, stopping him from falling off the cliff. With me holding his right hand, he managed to get his left hand on the edge of the cliff. I began to pull him up but I hadn't done much when I was kicked from the side. My hand got released from Peter's as I fell to the side. I watched a foot step on Peter's left hand that gripper the edge of the cliff. His scream echoed through the air as he fell into the abyss below.

Her body stumbled and the world tilted. And with the momentum of her own speed, she rolled, somersaulting helplessly, her body falling over the edge of the cliff.

I looked down the cliff, the cliff was bottomless and whoever fell down must have been dead. Fear made my heart flip. I felt my body freezing making me paralyzed. As I heard the rogue's vicious howling behind me. I turned around to find the whole group of rogues standing before me who were baring their teeth at me. One rogue growled and lunged at me which made me so scared that my feet slipped, a scream left my mouth as I found myself falling off the cliff. IS THIS MY END AM I GOING TO DIE? IF YES, THEN GOODBYE DEAR LIFE.

“I have a plan. It’s risky, but it’s our only chance. There’s a cliff up ahead. We need to make him think you fell off. Hide your scent, make it look like you went over the edge.” I nodded, understanding immediately. It was dangerous, but it was the best shot we had. I pushed myself harder, ignoring the pain, and quickly located the cliff. I skidded to a stop at the edge, my breath coming in short, panicked bursts. The drop below was sheer, jagged rocks jutting out from the side.

My chest was filled with relief, but my head screamed against the inconveniences. That seemed damn wrong. It was beautiful, profane, and gloomy... Like a trap for anyone who dared to jump from that cliff, causing a free fall to the merciless stones below. I confess to having considered the fall, judging by the sequence of sounds that reached me the next moment.

I took a deep breath, absorbing his words. Doubt overcame me, yet this was not the time to be a baby. I stepped to the edge of the cliff, took a deep breath, and said, "Alright, I'm ready." A strong wind hit my face as I fell into nothingness. I tried hard to grab onto something, but I couldn't. I felt scared and didn't know what to think or do. It took me a couple of very short moments to understand that I was falling to my death.

But Era was a hybrid for a reason, she twisted mid-air, her claws digging into the loam, and propelled us forward with a grace I could only envy from the passenger seat of her mind. ‘Show-off,’ I grumbled, my heart finally restarting. ‘Better than face-planting in front of a bear-gecko,’ she mocked. Just then, salvation broke through the tree line. Nightcliff Falls roared ahead, a monstrous curtain of silver and wild white water crashing into the jagged rocks far below. The spray rose in a shimmering mist, catching the faint moonlight and turning the death-trap into something almost beautiful, if you could ignore the fact that we were about to jump off it.

“Aaaah!” Reiss instinctively screamed when she sensed herself falling. Cloucliff was fifty meters in height at the very least. Even if one were to survive the fall, one would be seriously injured. Adrian grabbed Reiss’ arms as their bodies were suspended in midair. Then, he exerted strength to fling her upward. Reiss crashed into the ground above while Adrian dropped straight down. “Adrian!” Reiss shouted as she lay on the ground. All of a sudden, a glint was seen emanating from the bottom of the cliff. In the next moment, Adrian had already risen into the air and landed steadily in front of Reiss.
