I was all alone, standing at the very edge of the cliff. It felt like the end. I was too weak to defend myself and no one was coming to rescue me. It growled violently, closing up the space between us. This was the end. There was no escape. Then….. The wolf slammed into me, hard. My foot slipped, and the ground disappeared beneath me. I gasped as my body turned backwards, my balance completely gone. The cliff…. Just when I thought I was going to fall through, a sharp and strong pair of hands caught me.

Reuben POV I’m falling down a cliff, falling and I can’t seem to grip on to any rocks at the side of the cliff. It’s constant, like gravity is pulling me down. Am I dead? Am I falling into hell? My stomach aches from the continuing drop before my hand manages to grab onto the side of a grass verge. This cliff never seemed to end. With a jolt to my new positioning, I stop falling and look down at my dangling feet. This cliff had no end and no beginning, it was just constant. There was no sky, no ground…just cliff.

I continued walking and stopped when i realized i was on the edge, i retracted my steps and i stared far off into the vast land. If it didn’t bother me that i was now by myself i wondered what will happen if i jumped off. “You can always find out-” a voice said behind me and next thing i know, strong hands reached out from behind me and pushed me. I was nowhere balanced and so i slipped and right from the high with wind crashing in my ears, my voice muffled out with it as i stared at the ice below which was my destination. I was falling. I was falling off a cliff and i was going to die if i don’t control this.
