The triad was forming, whether the Council wanted it or not, but they didn’t have time to revel in it. A horn cut through the night, low and deep. I was so disappointed that I didn't mind when he opened what seemed to be a secret door leading to a dark chamber. Is he going to kill me? This place is similar to that basement where I saw him kill a man point-blank. He finally put me down on my feet but I was unable to move. The room was so dark that my breathing started to pick up its pace. Fear started to creep into my being. My anxiety started kicking. Seriously, is he going to kill me? I felt sick and wished that I had never left the packhouse that night. I tried to stand up from the floor but was pulled back by something which made me scream because I realised I was chained to the wall like an animal. The door clicked open and I blinked as light flooded the tiny dungeon.
