She blindly took one book and sat down. She was the only one at the restricted library, so she wasn’t disturbed all day long. The first book she read was all about mating. “Fated mate…” Mallory unconsciously said, then touched the word on the paper. She read, “Fated mates are pairs that are arranged by the Goddess herself. They are commonly known to live together until one of them dies. If one died, the other would fall into a deep depression that sometimes would resort to killing themselves. Some said that fated mates have their abilities enhanced after mating, gaining more power from one another.”

“For years you have waited. You have kept faith. The Moon Goddess has heard you. She has answered.” He stepped slightly aside, his hand gesturing to me. “She did not send you a queen born of ceremony. She sent you a warrior born of fire and second chances. She sent you my heart and my soul. My Fated Mate. "Who is he? Do you know him?” Jane let out a breath and slipped down the wall. “I do not know him,” I stumbled into him while I was getting the drinks.
