She'd asked the guy running the bet if it was legit, double-checked the terms, and even got the signed agreement before diving straight into the choppy waves.

Most of the other books in the library were ancient, brown and huge, but these looked magical. The first one she grabbed was blue, with the pages sparkly and thick. As she opened it, she saw that it was a book for water lilies. She didn’t even know those things existed. It fascinated her that there were actually small water creatures that lived in lakes and had powers. She wanted to sit and read the entire thing, but she knew she couldn’t. The other book she grabbed was about dragons. It had everything from the bloodline that formed them, to the very thing that could destroy them all.

Annabelle has always loved the sea since she was little, and she also enjoys diving. She spends much more time diving than others.
