Bound to the moon
His runes cracked, the red glow shattering
like broken glass, sparks flying into the night.
The wolves of his pack rushed forward to protect him. Dozens of them, snarling, their eyes
glowing with the same cursed fire. But as they leapt, the flames that consumed Draven leapt with
them.
One by one, their bodies ignited. Fur turned to ash, howls choked into silence. The fire spread
like a wave, spilling across the courtyard, but it didn’t touch my pack. It curled around them,
parting like a tide, burning only the Bloodfang.
