Son Of Ra

Son Of Ra

A helmet crowned the look sporting numbers Grey couldn't recognize just yet. "Sir, can you hear me!?" The origin of the voice coming to focus Firefighters deep in the battle against the fire consuming a building with steeples. Fire raged higher, a reaction from a shot of water doing the opposite. 'I have to leave! I have to find Thanatos' the words on Grey's lips as he struggled back on his feet. The captain pushing his broad shoulders down, which didn't do much as his towering body glazed in sooth and burnt up clothes had no issues getting up.

The Perfect Revenge

The Perfect Revenge

We ran down ten flights, lungs searing, coughing, slipping. At one point, I stumbled, my knee buckling under my weight. Xavier didn’t even pause. He scooped me into his arms like I weighed nothing and kept going, his breathing heavy, his grip unrelenting. By the time we burst out into the night air, the firefighters were just arriving. Flames licked the side of the building, painting the sky in bright reds and oranges. Sirens screamed. Neighbours huddled together in shock. Cameras flashed. I heard someone call my name. Reporters?

The Alpha’s Dead Luna

The Alpha’s Dead Luna

My chest screamed for air as we broke through, my lungs burning as I dragged in breath after breath. I couldn’t stop. Keeping him afloat, I kicked toward shore, every movement heavy, every second stretching. When I finally reached land, I hauled him out, collapsing briefly before forcing myself up again. There were more. There were always more. For hours, I worked alongside firemen, soldiers, anyone who could move. I threw myself into the chaos, dragging bodies from the water—some alive, some already gone, others so badly burned and broken that survival seemed impossible. And every time I surfaced… every time I turned back…

Whispers of the Devil

Whispers of the Devil

In fact, that distance might be a good thing. I watch images flee the firey building in a flash across the TV screen. A reporter goes over the story–how the local volunteer fire department responded to a fire that ended up engulfing two homes, and seriously charing another. How the fire chief–me–rushed inside one of the burning homes to save the life of an eight-year-old girl, who is still in critical condition at a hospital in New Orleans. They are, in fact, calling me a hero. I suck down my second glass of whiskey as memories of the fire rush through my mind and blur my senses.

The Last Thunder

The Last Thunder

Short story, they were coming home from the event when a blazing fire erupted from a residential building nearby just after they crossed the street. His grandfather parked their car in the nearby store and told him to stay inside the car because he wanted to help with the incident, because the fire had just started and the fire fighters were still on the way. So his grandfather and many other men helped evacuating the people inside the building before the fire fighters arrived not too long after and continued from there.

Ex-husband’s Regret: Revenge So Sweet

Ex-husband’s Regret: Revenge So Sweet

Please. Each new floor brings more danger. I slam against doors, praying each one opens. The smoke thickens. My body aches. My arms burn from holding her weight, but I don’t stop. Not now. We’re almost there. I hear voices now—faint, urgent. Firefighters. I reach the final stairwell and kick at the door, weak but desperate. The door bursts open, and light pours in. Relief crashes into me as firefighters rush forward, their faces morphing from confusion to alarm.

Haven’t gotten far in the book. But if Alexander and Bel don’t discover that everything is a lie and get back together I will be so mad. Both were drugged and set up. Absolutely no reason to make them be enemies by the end. If that is the plan then this story should have been set up differently.

I waited till the end to drop a comment, and I’m glad I did. Author, you did so well. I was a bit confused at some point, but you tied everything together beautifully. This is a solid 10/10. I’ll miss the characters, especially Roy. Thank you for this amazing story. I’m looking forward to more works

The Alpha's Ruby Obsession

The Alpha's Ruby Obsession

A large crowd stands before the still-burning building as the firefighters continue to put out the fire as best as they know how. The barista I spoke to is in a towel as a firefighter speaks to her about the nature of the accident, but she looks as if she is in shock, so words more than three syllables do not leave her. I don’t know what I thought I would find by coming here; the crowd only seems interested in the smoke and the fighters in the fire. It's easier to tell myself that it wasn’t Dominic instead of trying to piece that it is. What motive would he have to-

I love the work of Undercover Ostrich. She has a dark understanding of human nature that comes out in her characters. She puts a lot of thought, vulnerability, and passion in her stories. I look forward to her updates everyday! I love the bonus story. I wish it was another book so I can read more.

This book literally held me from starting to end it’s very well written, and the character growth is very there and real. If you have a thing for bad boys and a little obsessions for villains, then this is the book for you as a mom, I always turn to books to alleviate some of my stress, this was it.

Mated To An Hybrid

Mated To An Hybrid

, Brian asked. He poured another shot of the dark brown liquid into his cup but this time, he drank it slowly, savouring the sharp taste. "Not really. The only reports are of the fire fighters trying to put off the fire but it's not proving easy as the gas was a concentrated one", Killian said. "Better. That would keep them busy for a while", Brian said. "I'm just glad we got out with minimal injury and not only that, we were able to get out with our ammo and some of the vials Antonio gave to us", Jack said.

FALLING FOR THE ROGUE ALPHA

FALLING FOR THE ROGUE ALPHA

" I yelled, running like a madman. I hurriedly approached the engulfed house, fear gripping my heart like a vice. The flames licked at the sky, casting an ominous glow over the surroundings. The crackling of the fire filled the air, drowning out any other sound. The smoke billowed, obscuring my vision, and the acrid smell invaded my nostrils. "We need to get those kids out! Find water, find anything!" I yelled. Warriors scurried around, desperately searching for a source of water. Buckets were filled from nearby sources and passed from one person to another. Time seemed to stretch as we raced against the inferno, our focus solely on rescuing those innocent lives trapped inside. Relief washed

Irresistible Temptation

Irresistible Temptation

Not without consequences. Thick, gray smoke curled into the sky, the acrid scent of burnt wood and charred memories filling the air. Flames had already been extinguished, leaving behind a blackened skeleton of what was once their safe haven. Firefighters moved around, their uniforms smeared with soot, speaking in hushed voices. Victoria’s breath hitched. Her legs refused to move as she stared at the devastation before her. "No—no, no, no!" Gerald's voice cracked as he ran toward the ruins too, but a firefighter caught him before he could get too close.
